“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

A hidden gem tucked in among the historic homes along Gregory St. A short walk to the harbor, parks, and restaurants. A lovely, comfortable room with plenty of space, reading material (local history and much more), and a harbor view window. The breakfast was excellent in many ways: the setting, the food, and the engaging conversation/stories with our host, Susan.

We stayed one night at the Harborside House and it was a great night and a great value. We were able to walk into town for dinner and walk along the water and do some great exploring of the area. We definitely plan on returning to the Harborside House.

This past weekend my husband and I used our smatbox gift to stay in the Garden room. It was lovely, comfortable and felt like going home. Susan is warm and smart and a wonderful hostess. The breakfast was healthy and tasty with lots to choose from. The location is great for seeing a lot of the North Shore of Boston. We would stay again. Laura K.

Room Tip: couples should stay in the garden room for comfort and privacy

We were lucky to secure a room here a quite short notice. While we wanted to explore Boston, Salem and the surrounds, we did not want to stay, and Marblehead was the ideal base to explore from. Susan offered us a warm welcome and suggested we visit Jack-Tar for dinner, which was perfect! Our room was comfortable and the house was sweet. We had a lovely breakfast and conversation with Susan and her other guest. Overall pleasant experience which I hope to repeat in the future. Thanks for a great stay in Marblehead.

This quaint harbour side home is the most amazing B&B to stay in.
Not only is Susan (your host) the most welcoming host ever- all her little treats and notes left for you make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door.
Susan's knowledge and willing to offer assistance of attractions to see in Marblehead and surrounding cities is wonderful and extremely helpful!
Best nights sleep I have had in ages and loved the blueberry jam in the morning on my toast!
Can't wait to come back next year :)

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful. I stayed in a quaint 2 bed room looking out towards the harbour... love...
