Love the relaxed family atmosphere here. I come for the authentic-style tacos and an assortment of several makes a great lunch.

We were excited to try this new Mexican restaurant (apparently it moved from another location), but new to us.
To it's credit: The service was friendly and efficient. Despite it being very busy, we were seated immediately and our server was very good, especially in explaining some of the dishes that were not familiar to us. I always judge a Mexican restaurant first and foremost on it's margaritas and chips and salsa. The margaritas were great, the chips were great, the salsa - just so-so.
Where it missed the mark: The menu was somewhat limited and confusing. I think they try to distinquish themselves as an "authentic Mexican restaurant" and therefore, they are missing many of the items that Americans tend to associate with Mexican food - Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, Fajitas. So I get what their goal is and I like that they offer other dishes that may be more "traditional". But let's face it, most people want the tacos, fajitas, etc. The only taco available was as a 1 taco appetizer. I ordered 3 and got 3 tiny tacos - most definetly an appetizer. I asked if rice or beans code be ordered as a side - the answer was no. Another member of our party ordered some kind of a chicken mole dish which he found to be salty and not so good. The third member ordered a dish that I think was called "Celia's Platter" or something. It was a piece of steak, chorizo and fried cheese. All were acceptable but not very memorable.
So, not a bad experience, but not our best either. I would come here again or drinks and chips (except for the fact the bar is small) but that's about it. It may be a great place for people that want to try something new. We prefer our "Americanized" Mexican food.
My daughter and I went for a late mother's day lunch. We had both been itching to try it and decided this was a good excuse.
We both ordered, and decided to split. We ordered cheese enchiladas in red sauce, cheese emmoladas, and a side of refried beans.
They bring out chips and salsa prior to the meal.
The food was hot and delicious. We both decided that we would share one dish next time! Two dishes and a side of beans after the chips was too much.
The chips were cut really small, which I liked. Made the salsa less messy to eat!
I understand what other reviewers meant by there not being enough salt. Even the chips were not salty. For someone who does not use a lot of salt, this was a nice change, we appreciated it. There was a salt shaker on the table for those who needed it.
My biggest complaint was that the music was super loud. Having a conversation with someone sitting right across from you was difficult.
My wife and I brought a friend from Texas here because he wanted to taste the local Mexican food. We should have tried it ourselves first. We had pork, steak, and mole chicken. None of us was in the least bit happy with our choices and we've had Mexican food many times in the past so we know what it should taste like. Since it was the day before Cinquo de Mayo maybe they were looking ahead to the big day. Only thing positive to say is that they have Modelo Negro on tap and it is excellent.
Just visited this restaurant with a couple of friends. We ordered tacos, tostadas, guacamole and agua de Jamaica. This is my review:
Good: service. Very friendly people.
Bad: food. Very disappointed with the food, it had no flavor. The salsa and guacamole did not seem to be home made. They had no flavor. The carnita that came with the tacos and tostada, same problem. Very soft, but not flavor, no taste.
Not sure where all the positive reviews come from, but the food was bland and nothing special. The only thing we liked was the drink: agua de Jamaica.
