The White Porch Inn is comfortable, beautifully appointed and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff is unrivaled. Roberto was the perfect host and by the time we left, felt like an old friend. Breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese turned out to be the perfect opportunity to make new friends from around the world and right here at home. It's location will allow you to park the car and leave it. And then there's the white porch. With comfortable chairs and views of the water don't be surprised if you spend a good portion of the day relaxing there. This was our first visit, but certainly not our last.

This was our first time staying at the White Pitch Inn and it was lovely! Everyone was so amazing and so hospitable. Dweep was just a doll and always willing to lend a hand with anything we needed. Roberto was also so sweet and we met some wonderful new friends during our stay!

Realizing this was an inn
that might have been remodeled, our one word of caution was that you needed to put a cap up on the air conditioning vent in each room and in the bathroom if you wanted it to be warmer. The fireplace in our room was not available for use during our stay and having to cover the vent created a little bit of a liability since we had to stand on both toilet and bench to insert the cap.

Initially, we booked the room because of the fireplace, so that was a bit of a let down.

The manager had also seemed a little curt with us, admonishing us for not having made arrangements to move our car one night, but the rest of the staff was so incredible, that we overlooked his behavior and focused on how beautiful it was there.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

My husband and I stayed down stairs in the guest house next door to the inn. The room was small, but clean. There is a second room in the guest house which we used for our clothing. The bathroom in the spare room was not working which was a small inconvenience since my husband gets up at the crack of dawn to go for a walk or run before I get up. He wanted to use the other bathroom in the A.M. as to not wake me up since our room was so small. The location is great! Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The down side to this experience was ...Dale! This guy is in the wrong business. He looked miserable all the time, and we felt like we were walking on eggshells when in his presence. He reminded us of the little drummer boy - in need of a painted on smile in order to look happy. If it weren't for the great location...I would never go back due to Dales lack of hospitality.

We had the pleasure of staying at the White Porch Inn at the end of August and really enjoyed our stay. The inn is located in a wonderful location a block off Commercial Street in the center of town. The inn itself is charming, spotless, and well appointed. It has beautiful artwork, a coffee bar/tea bar, wine tastings, and a nice breakfast every morning. Parking is available for a fee. You should definitely reserve your spot early. The staff is wonderful, and we appreciated everything Tom, Roberto, Dweep, and Mildred did for us. We especially appreciated that they carried our bags to and from our top floor room! Speaking of which, we stayed in "The Cher Room" and had our own private balcony with a lovely view of the harbor. I highly recommend staying in that room and at The White Porch Inn. You can't go wrong!

Room Tip: The rooms are a little on the small side. The stairs can be steep. Great views from the Hatches Harbor Suite.
