This was our second visit to this lovely inn. Our first visit was soon after they opened several years ago....we enjoyed it then and even more so this time. Helen and Mike are truly delightful innkeepers. They know the Cape well and can steer you in the right direction. Helen's breakfasts are delicious. There are rooms both up and main levels. If you have trouble with steps, definitely choose main level. Also, the beds are covered in high end linens. You can not go wrong choosing the Inn at Cape Cod.

Lovely building in a convenient location. Helen and Mike take attention to detail to another level. 24/7 coffee/tea, with ice buckets and glasses all on hand, everywhere is spotlessly clean and immaculate.
Rooms have all the amenities of an upscale hotel, with Molten Brown products provided in the bathroom ( slight niggle that fresh towels not provided to us on the last service despite us leaving them in the bath - bit bizarre)
I don't think our room ( Manor suite) was the best choice for us with the sitting area being stuffy and very dark as it has no windows. Whilst the bedroom had four windows, the bedroom generally was very hot ( our opinion )requiring the AC to cool it, despite weather outside not being massively hot for the time of year. I think the other rooms would be more light and airy to be fair....the great thing is that you book the room of your choice...I would suggest the Plantation suite as I am sure had that been available, it would have been just the ticket for us....superb balcony.
Lovely front porch with rockers and the grounds also had lovely sitting areas.
It was really nice to be able to sit outside for breakfast. The proximity of the Old Yarmouth Inn which has both restaurant and tavern menus was also a huge bonus...the food and hospitality there are also amazing.
very nice that the Inn has a child free policy.

Room Tip: Avoid the Manor Suite, the others look lovely

Stay here if you are interested in a central location to explore Cape Cod and all of it's fascinating destinations. We lucked out, having never been here before, to stay at the Inn at Cape Cod because of its proximity to everything.

Then there are the accommodations. First class, clean, comfortable, quiet and so many details thought of and through. The owners are so lovely and genuinely interested in your enjoyment of the Cape. And then the food is the icing on the cake. Will return again and again.

Helen and Mike are fantastic hosts. They are a good source of information with many useful tips and ideas to get the most from your visit to Cape Cod. The rooms are very comfortable with thoughtful touches that make the stay even more special. Breakfasts are a feast.
The Inn is located near a number of good restaurants. I highly recommend Mike and Helen's wonderful Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

My husband and I met on Mother's Day of 1984. We married a year later on Mother's Day, May 12, 1985 and honeymooned at a lovely southern mansion on the hill in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts. At that time, we believe this building was owned by the Old Yarmouth Inn next door; and we went there for breakfast. We returned to the beautiful mansion a year later for our first anniversary and stayed in a room upstairs this time. Over the years, we were saddened to find this property was closed and had fallen into terrible disrepair.

Fast forward to this month, May 11, 12, and 13, 2015 (Our 30th Wedding Anniversary). All of us have heard you cannot return to a place and capture what you experienced on your first visit. Well, we are here to tell you that this visit to what is now called the Inn at Cape Cod was by far our most special and memorable time because of the people Mike and Helen Cassels are. They cannot do enough for you and work together as a terrific team!

For our visit to celebrate our 30th we stayed in the same room as in 1985 with the same four poster king sized bed! How special!! We are thrilled our European/American Host and Hostess had the insight to come here and are being such special stewards of this historic majestic antebellum home. They have spent nine years lovingly renovating the rooms and property.

We would encourage you to take a step back in time, treat yourself, and make a reservation at this luxury bed and breakfast. You will make new friends, have reservations and/or itineraries prepared for you, be spoiled with hot and cold beverages any time of the day, afternoon tea, different homemade cookies daily, a snack tray in your room with unlimited bottled spring water, and a four course breakfast that will take your breath away. We can guarantee your visit will seem longer than it is and you will leave with a sense of quiet and peacefulness you will treasure upon your return home.
