I have stayed at places and paid twice the cost that were not this nice. Rooms were very clean. Cleanliness is my number one when thinking of hotels. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. As others said rooms are a little dated. The bath and shower were tiled. The grout was clean, uniform color and no stains or mold. Continental breakfast was small and very basic but very well attended and within my expectations. All the staff over our several days were very personable and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay here again myself.

Friendly staff however outdated rooms with very basic furniture. A weird smell, perhaps smoking although the hotel is a none smoking property. Very poor breakfast items with a very tiny breakfast area.

This was our first time staying here. We were here 2 nights. When we first checked in the room we were given was on the first floor and I had requested highest floor (only 2 floors in this hotel). I was told there were no King bed rooms available on the top floor. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was a little too firm for me. The room had a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator. The bathroom shower had good pressure and hot water, but the shower head was a little low for us. The sink is outside the bathroom. No towel racks for hand towels and only a door hook for bath towels which made it hard for the towels to dry, so we had to ask for more towels - but no problem getting more. The walls are thin so we could hear the guy snoring and his alarm going off at 5:30 am. Fortunately, we are early risers. The hotel itself was in a quiet area so no outside noise. The breakfast is minimal and the coffee is not great, but it served our purpose as we don't eat a big breakfast. The restaurant attached doesn't open for breakfast. Pink Lemonade is available in the afternoons at the desk. The staff was friendly. The pool is rented out to others not staying at the hotel, so it seems to be busy in the evenings. No elevator for the second floor which wouldn't have affected us, but others may not be able to carry luggage up steps. Good location to explore the thumb.
