Took clients for dinner after a trade show.
Service, food and whole experience was excellent. Appetizers, main course and desserts. Everyone raved with no complaints!

Had an outstanding dinner, and awesome waitress (Alyssa) I would ask for her if, she is fabulous, and provided great service, and made dinner suggestions that were amazing.

It was decided to sit at the outdoor patio, which has views of Windsor, Ontario, Canada and the Ambassador Bridge. Tried the “Po Boy” sandwich. The lake perch – coated in light golden brown batter – was prepared just right but the buns were dry and tough. Service was slow and requests were fulfilled, but with delays. The manager came by to ask if everything was fine…but the waitperson did not.

Some flies were encountered and (nearby) passing vehicular traffic was a bit annoying. The interior appeared classy, varying from a dark atmosphere – near the front of the restaurant – to bright and refreshing, at the tables near the outdoor patio.

All in all, a decent experience…but better service was expected.

I agree with the reviewer who wished there were an option for 4.5 stars. The food was excellent. Minor quibble with whether the whitefish was slightly overcooked, and the shrimp in the Fruits de Mer was definitely overcooked, but every other aspect of the food was outstanding. I nominate their scallop provider for sainthood. Good wine list and they knew enough not to put the white Rhone in an ice bucket. The atmosphere is comfortable, friendly, and has an old-fashioned charm to it despite being modern decor. Great views of the river. My only complaint was that the piano was too loud so we had difficulty talking. Ask for a table away from the piano and you'll be fine because the noise level was otherwise pretty good. If you like seafood, you can't do better in Detroit.

First time eating here, service was great and had some old school charm like filleting my Dover sole table-side and showing their wonderful deserts (especially the coconut cake and carrot cake) on a trolley. Great views of the river but just a little loud on a Friday night to make it a romantic destination. Also the valet parking attendants are as rude and unhelpful as I've ever seen. Overall highly recommended!
