If you're a railroad buff, you'll want to see (and photograph) the Pere Marquette 1223. This restored steam locomotive (with several rail cars attached) is located in a park-like setting that would be a great spot for a picnic lunch. There is also a well-preserved coal tipple (a tall structure used to load coal into the locomotive's coal tender). It's a great-looking locomotive in a beautiful setting, there's plenty of parking, and it's free.
