My wife and I had to find and book this hotel last minute, as our previous hotel was closed due to a power outage. The decor of the room is nice, but slightly dated. They did offer a contactless check in process (highly appreciated), and the staff we did speak to were all very nice.

The view of the lake is very nice from our room, but it wasn’t quite the romantic spot my wife and I had hoped for.

The beds are comfortable and amenities include cable TV, air conditioning (in wall unit), walk in shower, extra plugs on the bedside lamps, a coffee maker, and a fruit and juice basket.

Check out was a snap too, all I had to do was drop the keys off in a drop box!

We loved our stay at Churchill Pointe Inn so much a few years ago, we said we would return and this was the summer! This stay, we scored a lake view king room. It was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was as wonderful as we remembered! Our wait staff was friendly and you can’t beat the view! Make sure you try the champagne on tap AND order the prime rib! We also tried the shrimp cocktail. We have never enjoyed a shrimp cocktail this generous! Sadly, we didn’t have room for dessert, but they will bring a dessert tray for you to choose from.

6 of us had reservations for 6:30PM on 9/28/19 and 4 of us were celebrating our wedding anniversaries. Don greeted us and as always remembered us by name and gave us a big hug, it makes you feel very important to be recognized which is a great touch. Our table and server were both fantastic. 4 of us had the lobster bisque, 2 had the French onion soup, we had Poke, mussels and escargots for appys, everyone was awed by the taste and presentation which was flawless. Dinner entrees consisted of Prime Rib, Ahi Tuna, Roasted Duck breast, Perch special with shrimp scampi sauce and medallions of beef, everyone was awed.. I am the kind of person that likes my food presented as it just came from the kitchen and as was pointed out by everyone, that is how it was presented. I know Michigan Live had them as the number 2 fine dining restaurant in Northern Michigan but honestly Churchill Pointe Inn is deserving of a 1st Place in my book. I wish the son and daughter in law continued success and will see them in 2020
