We found this place when driving down state and looking for a place to overnite. What a great place! Located just outside of town. Met the owner and he was telling us about the changes they have made.
The staff were very efficient and very friendly.
The facility was extremely clean - decorated very nicely. Nice indoor pool and hot tub.
Breakfast was fine. Saw a complaint about the breakfast on a previous review. This is not a 5 star hotel - you can't expect a 5 star breakfast! Everything was fresh. The eating area very clean and comfortable.
We will be returning next summer with our family. Lots of outdoor activities in the area.

The new owners have worked very hard to update and upgrade the Ausable Valley Inn. There are new TVs and the WiFi is great! Everything has been painted and caulked and things look good. We look forward to staying here again next summer.

The management of this hotel changed hands in November of 2018 and has made many positive improvements! A local friend of mine winced when I said that we were staying at this hotel because of its poor reputation. How pleasantly surprised we were to find such a clean, hospitable place! The huge pool and hot tub were well maintained. Breakfast was ample the and the coffee was great too. I will definitely return when visiting the area again.
