The suites are lovely - very nicely appointed, sparkling clean and comfortable. The staff are great and the ease of coming and going all day is quite nice. The central location in downtown Monroe is perfect and proximity to the Riverfront and local eateries is perfect. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last.

If you are ever near Monroe, Michigan, do yourself a favor and stay at Hotel Sterling. This hotel was just fabulous. The rooms are huge. Whoever designed the rooms did an outstanding job. Everything was spotless and appeared to be new. The mini fridge was stocked with goodies and it was all complimentary. The free wifi was fast and the room rates are very affordable; quite reasonable. I didn't want to leave.

We returned for a visit to Monroe after having been gone 16 years and this hotel was recommended and a wonderful surprise. The rooms were huge and lovely, beds comfy and overall equipped with everything you need. It's a boutique hotel in a historic building so the exposed brickwork is beautiful but with all the modern conveniences. It has a microwave, mini fridge and sink and is fully stocked with snacks, cereals, drinks and treats. It's located downtown and has easy parking and access.

Room Tip: There is no elevator due to the historic nature of the hotel so choose a first floor room is accessibility is an issue.

Very clean, fridge/kitchen stocked with goodies. Such a lovely and quiet place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs sitting area and the upstairs bedroom with a big bathroom. I will definitely be staying here again as well as recommending it to all of my friends coming in from out of town.

Lovely hotel in downtown Monroe, making it a great location for anything you need to do. Very large rooms with sitting area and stocked kitchenette. Great bathroom with large rain shower. Very clean and well stocked with toiletries. Great nights sleep on the warm cozy and very comfortable bed! Enjoyed the historical building as well, we highly recommend this hotel for your next stay.
