Located at the end of the famous cobbled street "Calle Crisologo", Vigan Heritage Mansion is one of the ideal hotels to stay around Vigan. This hotel was once a 19th century ancestral mansion of the the late Ilocos Sur Governor, Hon. Pedro Singson, and restored into a 7-room heritage hotel that can accommodate up to 45 guests with a reasonable price to stay with.
Once we arrived there for a late check-in, the hotel staff accommodated us quickly to our room and also guided us where to park safely. Our room had 2 double beds and one single bed with amenities of mood lighting, window type air conditioner and cable tv. Also, they have heater for shower. What I like about this hotel is the collection of antiques and wooded furniture in this hotel that will let you feel at home from the beautiful past. Their lobby at the 2nd floor is one of the perfect places to chill, talk with someone or do work. However, if you're looking for a wifi connection, I suggest to bring your own mobile internet or pocket wifi since their connection is not consistent. I just realized that I came to Vigan to unwind and embrace the historic city and not to do social media.
The next morning, they welcomed us with a plated breakfast with unlimited hot coffee, tea, choco or juice in their dining hall at the ground floor. Although, their breakfast is not ideal for heavy eaters out there since they only serve 2-piece Vigan Longganisa (local sausage) with sunny-side up plus a cup of rice. But the taste is great.
Another great thing in this hotel, the staff offered us for a late check-out 'til 1 p.m. for free. You'll just feel how they are extensive when it comes to hospitality they give to their guests.
With their tagline "Travel Back to 1885", you will feel how is it to live in a classic city with rich history and culture of one of the world's wonder cities. It is such a great place to stay.
