The manor is a stunning property in wooded grounds going down to the sea. It has been recently completely restored by its new owner, who must have blown a fortune on getting it straight.
We had a very comfortable top floor, homely room with period furniture; all looked as if it had just been decorated; the bedding was spotless and the bed, comfortable, if a little hard.
There is no lift, so as not to ruin the castle structure: if you have a heavy suitcase and a top floor room, get help to climb the great spiral staircase. Fortunately, the kind owner, has a strong back.
