We had a lovely time in this hotel. It is well located, ten minutes walk from the town and close to the water. Our room was compact but adequate. We appreciated the fridge with the soft drinks included in the room rate. We had a view of the pool and the bed was very comfortable. However, as expected, the room was small and with little storage space.
Breakfast was very good - lots of choice - fruit, juices, bread, pastries, eggs etc.
The pool was lovely, heated to a perfect temperature and always quiet. It is a good size. However, we were a little puzzled that it didn’t open until 10am when the guide in the room stipulated 9…an earlier opening would have suited us to enable us to swim before breakfast.
The surroundings are beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the island. It is easy to walk in all directions from the hotel.
Our main disappointment was not being able to eat in the gastronomic restaurant. I’m a vegetarian and asked if a special menu could be offered (when we checked in - we were there for three days). Seemingly this wasn’t possible. I was surprised about this as vegetarian food is now mainstream, even in France! I’ve not come across this as a problem before in similar establishments. I’m hoping that if we go back (and we would certainly like to), it might be possible to dine in the restaurant.
