A delightful countryside hotel very close to the beach. There is no parking at the hotel except on the country lane outside which is all very well unless you arrive in the afternoon on an extremely hot August afternoon when everyone is at the beach and there isn't a space to be had. Not the best of arrivals. We had a garden room which was fairly basic but very nice with separate toilet and shower room and French windows overlooking the garden. There is also a swimming pool which was a great way to cool down. Dinner was taken in the courtyard and was exceptional. Worth the long wait. The chef certainly knows her flavours and the presentation of the dishes was outstanding. The starter of foie gras and scallops was just sensational. Breakfast the next morning was self service and plentiful.

The room had a very unpleasant musty 'old' smell, even with the windows wide open all the time.
I asked specifically for a quiet room - the room we were given (40) was above the entrance door & noisy with people talking, cars coming & going & people smoking all evening.
Also we could hear everything from the next door room, including them singing in the shower at 11pm & toileting.
Beds were hard with squeaky springs.
Location is good, very close to the beach & in quiet neighborhood.
Nice white bedding.
Room seemed clean.
Spacious room.
Bathroom tap was loose & had a bare cable behind tap to open & close the plug.
Lobby area is attractive, upper stairs & hallways are tacky.
Bath mat had frayed edges.
Bedside tables show marks from lots if use.
Had to pull beds away from walls to access power points.
Garden space is good .
Parking is on the street.
There are bikes available for hire, though the receptionist refused to allow me to rent one for the evening. She said i had to rent it for the whole day & then only until 6pm.
Hard to understand why, when we could see none of the bikes were used that evening.
Unlikely to return.

Spent a week driving up the west coast of France sampling seafood. This beautiful place was open Sunday and Monday for food (a rarity in this part of France) and what a find it was. A lovely, characterful old hotel in the bourgeoise style but with beautifully comfortable and modern rooms and delicious food served by delightful staff. We will return.

Located an easy walk to the beach and about 2km from the town centre. An old style hotel with quiet surroundings and a lovely garden with an 'indoor' pool that can be opened to let in the sun. Breakfast is buffet style and coffee good but the tea somewhat 'continental' for English tastes, Dinner menu is limited but really good quality. Rooms good sized and rustic in decor.

A real jewel. Our campervan broke down as we were about to leave the island after 4 (sometimes stormy) days on a campsite, so after being told we had to wait for parts and wouldn't be able to leave for 3 nights, we hurriedly attempted to find somewhere reasonable to stay. I went for the Saint Paul and was so glad I did.
A wonderful welcome - only half an hour or so after making the booking online - from Joanna, as mentioned on a previous review. The service from Joanna and indeed ALL staff at the hotel was second to none from start to finish. We also had bikes at the hotel within 10 minutes of arrival. We ate at the hotel 2 out of 3 nights, the food is incredible, a real treat. The whole place is a kind of 'laid back classy'. Having one person looking after you in all areas really is something special these days and provides the guest with continuity of good service.
The décor is simple but overall good, beachy and country house style; bathroom just starting to look a little shabby - large rusting pipe in corner and shower curtain in need of replacement but nothing serious.
Tea and coffee making facilities would be a real bonus in the room.
The day we were checking out our plan was to extend the bike hire for another half day, in order for us to cycle over to the garage and collect our van and then bring the bikes back to the hotel and pick up our bags. The male receptionist (apologies for not knowing name) so kindly offered to run us over to the garage himself - a wonderful gesture which was so appreciated and meant that we saved ourselves at least an hour or two's hassle before our journey back up to Roscoff for ferry that evening. Thanks again!
Above and beyond the call of duty - in all areas.
Highly recommended.

Room tip: Garden rooms great outlook
