We've seen the rave reviews, but we live 56 miles away. But we made the trek today, and it was worth it. A cut above even the best breakfast places we've been to. Some places have good feature items accompanied by ordinary toast, juice, butter, syrup, potatoes, etc. At Luisa's everything is what you'd want it to be - EVERYTHING. The OJ was just fresh squeezed, it doesn't get any better. The coffee is Intelligentsia, not some ordinary nondescript coffee. The napkins are even nice. My wife had the Chilaquiles, outstanding - every ingredient, chips, eggs, salsa, black beans, guacamole. I had Swedish Pancakes with real butter and real lingonberries, I have never had better, in Chicago or anywhere else. The atmosphere is cute, the servers are very pleasant, and happy to work together. Even on a late Monday morning, we had to wait about 15 minutes - there is a good reason people are willing to wait in line at Luisa's Cafe, it's worth it!
We also bought five pastries at the adjoining bakery before we left. Everything looked tempting!
