Nice room but did a reservation online and booked ground level floor room because my husband has bad knees (70 years old) but they change it on use to a 2nd floor room. Not happy with them for that. Beware when making reservations online with them.
What a well run little motel . It was perfected located on the quieter side of town although beach was only 3 blocks away. Very clean. Great staff there too that even gave us a free bag of ice. This place is simple but is all you need.
By the sounds of the other reviews, wish we could have stayed in the cabin. The hotel room was nice, clean, w/ coffee in the room, and flat screen TV. There were extra blankets/ sheets/ pillows in the drawer. The only draw back was the bed...as my brother- in- law sometimes says...THE MATTRESS WAS MADE OF STRAW. When I got up from a restless night, my shoulders & back were achy... mattress was so hard. I was tired, as we were traveling on motorcycles...other than that...the advertised price is $100... but w/taxes & fees, came to $126....crazy!
We were a little unsure when we first pulled in, however that changed once we were allowed to look at the room first. The room was spotless and up to date, comfy beds and friendly staff. Heated pool was great-there is even an outside shower in the pool area. Only a few blocks to walk into town and the lake. Reasonable price for all of the included amenities. We will definitely be staying again!
This was our first time in Port Austin and Blue Spruce did not disappoint. We had Cabin C which was a house. Large living area with a functional kitchen. Three bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom had a queen bed and a twin and is air conditioned with a room air conditioner; excellent room. Another bedroom had a full bed with a window air conditioner. Last room had two twin beds and a fan. Upstairs is rustic and the place has only one small bathroom but hey, its a cabin not the Ritz. We will be going back.
