I have been sun and sand twice, once in 2008 and once in 2017. The service is very nice the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and overall it was a pleasant stay! The only reason I gave 4/5 is that the hotel itself is quite internal so takes slightly longer to get places knowing the traffic in Mumbai!
Large room with kitchenette, fire pit, picnic tables, pool. Quiet backyard setting. Liked that you park at your door. Very clean with friendly owners who live on site. Nice large picture window that looked over the back yard. No electrical outlets in the bathrooms though.
We stayed here for a few nights before the Labor Day holiday. The owners are very welcoming and personable, as well as the rooms very clean. They have a nice pool and the lake is right across the street! You are only a few miles from Port Austin and about 15 from Caseville..would highly recommend this little gem!!
Very quaint, clean. Nice pool lots of activities for kids. Great convenience of the kitchenette, well stocked with dishes and silverware, pots and pans . our first time there. BBQ grills available. Very well kept. Management and staff very friendly. Definitely will be back
Stayed in a kitchenette room for a week and had everything we needed to relax on a budget. The room was clean and the service was top-notch. The owners live on the premises and bent over backward to accommodate us, even when the power went out due to a freak storm. Although not obvious from the road, the property is quite large and quiet, with picnic tables, a fire pit, volleyball, and a very large pool in the back. Location was perfect for exploring the area's beaches, lighthouses, ice cream places, kayak trips, etc. If you get a kitchenette, make sure you go to the Farmer's Market in Port Austin on Saturday morning where you will find homemade pies, bacon, jelly, salsa, and as many fresh fruits and vegetables as you can possibly need for your stay. Remember to book next year's stay before you check out!
