This place is so amazing, peaceful, quiet, clean and views are stunning. Highly reccomend. Had a great relaxing time. Walking distance to town, where there are alot of options for dining and things to do. We will definitely go back.

Very nice place. Quiet, right on water but had to walk 1/2 block to beach ( not a problem with us) . Family run, talked to owners, very friendly. Nice rooms. Beautiful view of Lake Huron. It was a bit more pricey than I usually pay but it was worth it.

We found this place while looking to getaway. Beautiful view right on the water, clean and updated rooms, right in town, and very friendly staff. You get an excellent view of the sunset/sunrise and its walking distance of a small beach and the pier. We will definitely be back!

We were in Port Austin for a wedding and we housed 6 of our family groups plus ourselves here. Mary and Ron, the owners, are delightful and friendly. We all had nice clean rooms that were updated w/all the modern amenities. The views of Lake Huron are spectacular and when I needed a little rest from all the hub-bub, I found a shady spot to read my book and enjoy the view. The gardens are beautiful. You can walk to everything in town and the pool is sparkling and refreshing. We will definitely be back!
Room tip: We had 4 rooms on 2nd floor--very nice. 2 of our group had 1st floor rooms and liked them. The cottages look adorable--next time maybe.

We were looking for a lake getaway and boy did we find it. The town is quaint, clean and friendly. Our rooms are clean and updated. They are not large so no room for a comfy chair but it does have 2 queen size beds, a table and chairs for 4, small refrigerator and small microwave. Most of the time we are out enjoying the well loved grounds, the heated pool right next to Lake Huron and a wonderful town beach and park just a very short walk away. All the restaurants are easy walks into town, but be prepared, most want cash only. Our family is already thinking of next year and we are only on day 2 for this trip. I see a return in my future.
Room tip: Second floor has some great views, rooms, cabins closest to water look great.

Came up to Kayak to Turnip Rock and spend the weekend in Port Austin. Lake Vista was a great choice of hotel. The grounds are very nice, great pool, and right on Lake Huron. You are also in walking distance of most shopping and bars/restaurants.
You need to call to make reservations - no online system - but everyone is so nice.
The only negative is that the beds are not that comfortable, but I wouldn't let that stop me from staying again.
