This cute and charming hotel is within close walking proximity to East Tawas. The hotel is in a prime location just across the street from the beach and offered a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Everything was fresh and updated. Small, but efficient as one would expect for a motel. Grounds were extremely clean and well kept, updated. Check in and check out were a breeze. Towels, bedding pillows all in great condition. Flowers everywhere! Close to marina and all amenities, but far enough out of the center of town to not be in all of the summertime traffic. Great price! We will definitely be back.
We read about this motel on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. I called ahead to inquire about rooms. I was told that room #1 with the lake view was reserved, but two other rooms were available. I asked which one she would recommend? She told us, one room is larger, but room #5 has a wonderful view of the river even though it’s smaller. She was right! We had a beautiful view of the river AND the room was small, but had everything we needed. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker, so we went to a local grocery store and purchased breakfast bowls. Perfect! We also took out a paddle boat and enjoyed a lovely trip out to the lake and down the river. The owners are friendly & helpful. We’d stay again if we ever find ourselves in Tawas City.
This little gem is amazing. It has access to Tawas Bay in the front of the property, but the truly great part is that it is that the back of the property sits on a river that leads out into the Bay. it is truly the best of both worlds. The rooms are clean, nice and very reasonable in price.
This was my second stay this summer and I continue to be amazed at the value of this quaint resort. When you exit you room and look to the east you have a beautiful view of the Tawas Bay and to the west you see a sloping lawn leading to the Tawas River. We enjoyed fishing from the boardwalk as well as swimming and paddle boarding in the river. The complementary paddle boats/kayaks made for a less than 10 minute ride to the bay. The fire pit allows for family hot dog roasts and the pavilion allowed a place for games and meals. Our room contained a full size refrigerator and stove and was extremely clean and freshly renovated. Dollar for dollar this is an incredible bargain!
