Clean, comfortable and pet friendly! Exactly what your looking for when traveling with your fur friend. The rooms are updated. Located right across from Lake Huron where you will find pet friendly beaches. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
We picked this hotel based on reviews but it was worse than I thought. Its old and needs updating and the floors are dirty. We had our shoes and socks off and noticed that the bottom of our feet was black after walking around. People were also at breakfast grabbing food with no masks on. The hotel had everything out just like it was pre-covid with s waffle and pancake maker out for everyone to touch. No one said anything to the people not wearing masks. This grossed me out, especially when food is involved. They dont see to care there is pandemic going on.
Everything was great, from the friendly staff that we encountered to the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast was really nice. Lots to choose from and a great place to sit with family. The vaulted ceilings were also very nice with a great mural on the wall. The pool are was one of the nicest I have seen. It was a beautiful room with gorgeous wood everywhere. They take pride in their hotel and it definately shows. Thanks for the great stay! We will be back!
Just returned from a 2 night stay. If I could post pictures to show you the difference between what their pictures look like and what our actual room looked like, you would not believe it. Suppose to be 184.67 for Friday and a whooping 194.93 for Saturday. Imagine Orange walls with paint on the White ceiling Gold and green bedding Unmatching aqua carpeting. Burn holes on the dresser. Mold in the refridgerator. Husband had to take the lid off the tank of the toilet 2 times to get it to flush. Shower had one of those bent out half moon rods, it must have been pulled off the wall at some point and they lowered it and the angle is off so the curtain is in the tub for about 6" it was YELLOW, It would not stay in place causing water to go all over. Towels are paper thin. If this wasn't bad enough, upon checkout on Sunday, THANKFULLY I asked for a copy of my bill. Got up the road only to see that they had charged me an additional 194.93. Had to turn around and go back in. Person on duty argued it was correct, finally adjusted it correctly. Nice sign on the ice machine telling you not to use to fill your cooler, so make sure you spend extra money for that. We wanted to use the Indoor pool and hot tub....The pool looked nice, the hot tub was DISCUSTING. Brown, totally a different color. Based on everything else we decided it probably was not a good idea to risk our health.
This is a typical Northern Michigan Hotel.
The front desk was friendly & helpful.

Ample & adjacent parking for cars & trailers.
The room was basic & adequat.
Precieved value? ..... A tad overpriced
