I visited this hotel for the second time, this time to celebrate my mothers birthday. The hotel which is located just by sea, just opened a newbuild part and it is simply wonderful. All rooms have big panoramic windows with the most beautiful view.To see the sun move across the sky behind the siluette of the island Træna is astonishing. The design is delicate, materials seem to be choosen with great quality awarness. Only downside is the shower, the cabin design doesn't alow the door to close properly leaving the floor very wet. Being a vegan finding well-cooked food can sometimes be difficult and I often end up disappointed. Not at Lovund hotel! We had a delicious three course dinner, mine based only on vegetables while my mom had fish, all very tasty. Personnel are all very friendly and never too eeger to offer service, you get attention and help quickly when asked for.The hotel manager is a quiet, easy-going man who seems to have a profound sence for details and service. Breakfast could be more generous, everything is very tasty and the personnel keep the buffè freash and neat but a bigger variety would be welcome. Just outside breakfast-room there is a terrass, last cup of morning coffee outdoors was a perfect way to end breakfast and start the day. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxed treat in the beautiful archipelago of the Helgeland coast. And don't miss the rooftop terrass!

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room in the new part with windows heading east!

Was staying at the hotel from friday to sunday in the summertime and the whole experience was great. I was there through work and the hotel went out of their way to make the stay as good as possible. The view was amazing and the rooms were super cozy. This should be on the list if you want the northern costline of norway experience.

This is truly a wonderful hotel, with breathtaking views from most rooms, on a fairy-tale island in the north Atlantic - but massively over priced. That, I suppose, comes from lack of competition on the island. However, the restaurant has no vegetarian dishes, which is bad in itself, but the main reason why I suggest you stay well clear of this hotel, is that they serve WHALE carpaccio. Such barbarism should not be supported in any way or form.

We had the pleasure to visit Lovund hotel. We enjoyed the closeness to the sea, the view and the authentic regional Norwegian food. Do not miss the Skrei. We also loved the breakfast with several homemade dishes. We will be back!

Lovund is one of the thousands of islands of the coast of Norther Norway, Helgelandskysten. The hotel offering the fantastic view to sunset and other islands and mountains on the coast. Stay in fishermens cabins or in the brand new hotel part of the place, Syn, with excellent quality and the best view ever. The island is perfect kayaking, for mountain walk to the top of Fjellet, to watch sea eagles and puffins. The hotel restaurant offer excellent food, like fish caught outside the islands. Enjoy!

Room Tip: All hotelroms and most cabins with seaview
