We stopped here for dinner after a long drive north from Chicago. Typical diner fare, well made and not too expensive. It was fun to get a real vanilla Coke -- haven't had one in quite some time! Good comfort food.

This place is so good, well cooked burger and fries, awesome chocolate shake; what more could you ask for except for Fonzie to walk thru the door. Super cool waiting lobby with 50's decor, very fun and good times to be had here.

I have been to this restaurant so many time that I have tried every item on the menu. No joke. I love this place.
This place has a great atmosphere, with 50’s items and photos/posters all over. The decor is very well done. They have 2 rooms. One has a more open atmosphere- more diner like. The other is a full room of high back booths, which means privacy! The waitresses dress in poodle skirts, and are great at what they do.
They are well known for their malts, cakes, pies, cookies, and home cooked foods: homemade mini French bread, soups, and chicken pot pie. The turtle cake was featured in MN Monthly magazine a few years back, but my personal favorites are the chocolate fudge cake, carrot cake, and the lemon supreme cake (only available in the spring). I also love their blueberry pie. If you’re looking for something “no sugar added”, then try the sugar free apple pie. They have key lime pie in the summer which is amazing. There is a full menu of malt flavors to your liking.
Whatever you do, make room for dessert! It’s worth it. Or take it with you.
Food! Where to begin. My favorite burger is the smoked cheddar and bacon burger. My husband likes the 50’s Grill burger with the special garlic sauce it comes with. The bigger burgers have buns that are made from scratch by their bakery. They also have 4oz burgers for those that aren’t as hungry.
I love their chicken pot pie- it has the little pearl onions in it, and has a very light flaky crust- only on the top. (They also sell cold ones to go, which make for a great lunch.
Sunday’s are a great day to go and indulge. They have Sunday dinner specials that come with drink and dessert.
My personal favorite is the hamburger steak supreme: hamburger patty with gravy, fried onions, and bacon. It’s delicious.
Soups are delicious, every one made from scratch in house. They have chicken wild rice which is an every day soup. It is a broth soup, that is loaded with chicken and rice. It’s delicious. Then each day of the week they offer a “soup of the day”
Saturday/Sunday- Beef Barley (probably good to many, but I’ve never been a fan of this one)
Monday- Turkey Noodle (big fat noodles!)
Tuesday- Split Pea and Ham
Wednesday- Cream of Broccoli (delicious)
Thursday- Navy Bean and Ham
Friday- Seafood Chowder (so good that sometimes they sell out)
For those of you that are looking for something healthier, they have a good selection of salads. My personal favorite is the Cajun chicken salad.
I also love the chicken club, and the turkey club sandwiches. They come with veggies, but you can substitute for fries.
They can accommodate large groups with an advanced notice. The largest I have ever brought was 20.

A blast from the past, this is the diner you knew as a kid (if you are 50 years or older). I had their pot pie for the first time and it was delicious; the crust was tender and flaky. Their burgers are not too huge and their fries are delicious. Lots of different flavors of pies! Our waitress was very helpful as I ordered some food to go for hubby and son.
