My wife and I hadn't been here for years. It's still the same inside. Only difference it now seems more popular. We had to wait a LONG time at the bar to get served.

Thank Craigaaa

If you ordr the Prime Rib, you better be hungry or plan on taking home a big doggie bag. That is one HUGE piece of meat, but very, very delicious. Just for the heck of it, order the special Bloody Mary with the works as well and plan on spending the evening getting all that down in one sitting! Food and drinks are very good and the prices are reasonable.

We had a working lunch on a recent weekday at the Mill Creek Inn, which we selected based off wonderful reviews. We snagged a table on the deck and started looking at the menu. It was probably a good five minutes before we were even greeted. Beverages were ordered and they arrived another good 10 minutes later. So we decided we should order an appetizer since it seemed things were a little slow. We ordered the shrimp app. It was 30 minutes before we even saw our server again. She said "you guys had the shrimp right?" and rushed away to (i'm guessing) quick remember to place the order. It was a total of 45 minutes between ordering our shrimp appetizer and receiving it. Our drinks were never filled; I had to go inside to the bar and ask for a pitcher of ice water and a refill of diet coke.
It appeared this ONE SERVER was in charge of the ENTIRE restaurant - with up to 20 tables eating at once at the height of the lunch hour.
I get it, someone called in sick, and you're getting slammed. That I can understand. But as a former server, I know the best thing to do in that situation is address it upfront and warn customers that you're doing your best as a one man show today and that the kitchen might be a little backed up. If our server had ever even acknowledged how awful the service was, I wouldn't be so furious. Once when she did manage to bring a refill she said "well that only took an hour!" and laughed. Like, no. That is not enough of an apology for this.
To make it worse, none of us liked our food. I ordered the blackened grouper, which wasn't even close to blackened and the flavor was very fishy; not good. The other two got salads which is dumb at a place like this, but they were super disappointed with heaves of stacked lunch meat on the top of it.
Basically it was just a terrible 2-hour experience (yes, two hours to EAT LUNCH!) that left us very disappointed and baffled after seeing so many positive reviews on here.
We won't be back.

This is a nice place nothing especially fancy but nice and welcoming. We went there on a Saturday morning especially to try their monster Bloody Mary, made with infused vodka and a meals worth condiments, including chicken wings, onion rings, a jumbo pickle, a pickled egg, sausage stick, several olives, some blue cheese stuffed, 4 or five large cheese cubes, with pepperoni slices, a mild hot pepper, and of course a celery stalk...plus I probably forgot something. And, most positively, the Bloody Mary was excellent, along with the 16 oz beer chaser. Cost, about $22, I think, but the wife and I made a meal out of just one of them. Not something you would have everyday, but a fun experience for once in a while, and to take friends.

Met family members for an early birthday celebration lunch today because of the location and ratings on this site. Best decision ever!! Nice small town bar and grill atmosphere. Everything we ordered was great. And wonderful cheesecake for dessert.. We will be returning the next time we are in the area.
