Ditching our kids for some happy hour time. Had never been to Nutmeg and we enjoy beer, so we thought we would give it a try.
We opted for 2 flights to try all of the beers that they brew in-house, there is something for everybody.
We chose 3 appetizers, scotch eggs, poutine and pickle fries. The scotch eggs knocked my hubby's socks off! The pickle fries were on point! The poutine was fair, compared to what we have had in Canada and at the state fair.
Our server, John, was very informative, knowledgeable and passionate about what is served.
Good stuff.

Thank Lisa H

I stopped in here on a Saturday as I continue my exploration of Minnesota's taprooms. This one in Burnsville, near the mall blends in with the rest of the chain restaurants along the strip. I grabbed a seat at the bar and looked over their options. They had a few guest taps from Modist on tap but i ended up settling on 4 of their beers in a flight for $9. They had a good selection of beers and an intriguing food menu. The bartender was friendly but gone quite a bit in back, perhaps pulling double duty as a cook. It's a nice local option but a few nicer options down in Lakeville.

We had to cancel much of our order because the wait was too long. We would have been late for a movie and that should not have been the case as we allowed 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the movie was nearby. Also, there were very few customers in the restaurant, so the slow service cannot be attributable to crowds. The food we did get was very delicious.

We were seated for 30 minuets before someone came to take our order. It took another 15 minutes for our beer order to arrive, however the beers were excellent. Our food came after an hour but the server had to be sent back for ordered condiments and salad dressing. Once the order was straightened out the food was quite good.
