We were very happy overall with Coconut Thai. We waited a few months to try it and it was worth the wait. The menu was large and interesting, the food was very good and the presentation was excellent. I had the Pineapple Rice with chicken and it came served in a half of a fresh pineapple. It was excellent. Several in my party had curries and all thought they were very good. Only minor complaint was from two diners who felt their curries were not spicy enough because they ordered them very spicy and felt they should have been hotter. They had a small but interesting wine list and we had a great Sauvignon Blanc with our meal. The atmosphere is casual and laid back with many window tables. Service was very timely and friendly.
We noticed the delivery service, Bite Squad, was there several times while we were eating so they must be doing great with take out hone delivery. I would definately eat here again.

I'd been craving some fresh Thai spring rolls so was eager to try the version from Coconut Thai. They were excellent! Very generously filled, and the peanut dipping sauce was excellent - almost lick the bowl clean delicious! All 4 of our party tried different versions of their stir fry - cashew, asparagus, and ginger - with various proteins. All were tasty and seemed exceedingly fresh. The portion of rice that came with each entree was generous. For dessert, we shared the deep fried bananas with chocolate sauce and toasted coconut ice cream - bananas were very good, but the ice cream was incredible! Worth going back just for that. Our service was excellent - and we were attended to by a group of servers that worked well as a team. This was our first trip to Coconut Thai, but it won't be our last.

We enjoyed an excellent dinner here (after we found it) but it was well worth the search! We started with the Cashew appetizer, what an excellent choice! I don't know how they did it, but they were hot, with just a tiny bit of spice, a perfect starter! Our party enjoyed the Red Curry dish, the Thai Vegetables (amazing) and Pad Thai. This place has excellent food, great service. I can hardly wait to return to go again. The spice scale is 1-5 and is very true to form. We were all quite pleased with the service and the food. The menu choices are very good and perfectly outlined. Service was excellent, prompt & friendly. Can't wait to go again!

Just had dinner here. It was so good, I am writing this now. Service excellent, polite and attentive. Food, flavorful, fresh nice size portions. Appetizers very good. The entrees squash with chicken and red curry, very good and basil stir fry with shrimp very good. Had dessert too (why stop?!) it was mango sticky rice yummy and refreshing after Thai. Even the music playing not to soft or too loud and who ever picked the music has great taste. Every song was great.
I don't like reading long reviews so, there you have it to the point. Try it soon.

We've been to Coconut Thai several times since it opened, and have experienced it going down hill with each visit. This last experience will be our last. For these reasons:

1) Our group of 8 was seated at 5:30. It took 30 minutes to get water and 3 reminders to the wait person to bring a beer one of our party had ordered.

2) Our order was taken around 6:00. The food did not arrive until 7:30. 7:30!

3) During that hour and a half, nobody from the wait staff or management came to the table to update us on the delay.

4) We could see a steady stream of people coming into the restaurant to pick up takeout orders, which must have been the focus of the kitchen staff, at the expense of the diners in the restaurant.

5) At about 6:30 we threatened to leave unless the manager came to the table to address the issue. The manager arrived but offered no excuse, or apology. Nor did she offer to bring us appetizers while we continued to wait. As it was at the height of the dinner hour, leaving with the expectation of finding room for 8 at another restaurant was not a possibility.

6) When the food arrived, we were all disappointed. The beef in the Pad Thai was overcooked and stringy. The lettuce in the labb salad was flimsy and fell apart when the filling was added, and the fish dishes were overcooked and tasteless.

We have since heard from others who have had a similar experience. Clearly, the management lacks basic skills in the hospitality industry. We look forward to a new, better restaurant occupying this space soon.
