Since buffet at nearly casino had long wait, decided to try Tobie's. We missed the Easter buffet, but had Walleye and Shrimp dinners. I think we surprised the hostess who had her back turned to us and was talking to another employee when we came in. We were seated immediately, however. Our waitress was quick and brought our drinks right away. The shrimp was just right, but gravy over mashed potatoes wasn't very hot-warm at best. The walleye was good, but my baked potato was just warm and not hot. Our drinks were good, but we did have to ask for refills. I found it a bit odd that the hostess and Busboy brushed all the crumbs onto the floor from the nearby table they were clearing, so they could vaccum them up
Overall, it was ok. We did stop into the bakery and took some cinnamon rolls home with us.

Thank Marla M

Best place to stop on Hwy 35 going north or south. Easy to get off the freeway and pull into this 24 hour restaurant. The menu is varied and the bakery is out of this world.

Tobies has the best doughnuts, bar none!!! I personally love the bismarks... Especially the lemon covered in powdered sugar!! It's a must stop place when traveling... But once you try them, you'll be hooked!

Stopped here for breakfast between Minneapolis and Grand Rapids. Coffee was a little weak but fresh. Breakfast was delicious. You just HAVE TO try the freshly baked cinnamon or caramel rolls ! they're outta sight !Restrooms are clean, Service is pleasant and efficient. Price is family friendly.Easy on and off the highway from either direction.
