If there is such a thing as a 7star hotel - this would be the one! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff, we were made to feel special! They took us on a tour of the resort and to our beautiful rooms with a fantastic view! The food was amazing, the service incredible, the facilities were top notch! The Spa, the Pool, the Bar, the restaurants were all incredible! The friendliest staff ever.! My husband and I were there with our son and his family and we all had the best time thanks to the staff of the Royal Mykonian! We will definitely go back there!

Room Tip: All rooms have great views and are far apart enough to be sound proof with large balconies with loun...

Views are amazing, staff and service superb , views to die for and the hotel is gorgeous!! I can't say enough about this hotel. We were treated like royalty by everyone in this hotel. The attention to detail in the decor is mind boggling! We had a room with a terrace and outside jacuzzi and the view was just breathtaking. They have a wonderful boutique with beautiful bags, jewelry and bathing suits and the beach is terrific. The pool is clean, beautiful and lively. It had a swim up bar and a dj and service to your lounge chair. Couldn't ask for a better hotel!

A very good hotel away from the hustle/bustle of Mykonos town. We stayed here for 4 nights in late June and would recommend this hotel for people keen to relax in the fantastic Greek weather, and whom are not excessively bothered with late-night partying or explore the town/island. The linked resorts are speculate looking, with great views across the beach and offer just about everything you need for beach/sun holiday. The complimentary shuttle to/from the airport/port was a great bonus.
Tips;
- The restaurants are excellent, better service and a more relaxed atmosphere than the restaurants in town. Comparable prices for better prepared food in my opinion, with the additional convenience of not having the bus to and from town
- The shuttle bus service is good, but crowded on the return night buses (in particular the 10pm). We always managed to get on, but it was a fight, and the experience could certainly be made better by a more organised system of queuing
- Bring mosquito repellent
- For people looking for late nights and clubbing, it would probably be better to stay closer to town as the links to paradise beach aren't great, and I imagine getting back to the hotel after the last bus at midnight would prove difficult.
- We travelled as a couple, and would have thought that the resort catered more for the adult traveller than the travellers with young children
Overall a great resort hotel for a break in the Greek sun

Journey began after booking and then inquiring about 36hrs before arrival if they offered a complimentary hotel shuttle from the airport as I had forgotten to ask before, duh! My email was promptly replied to by the lovely Margarita who advised me that they need 48hrs notice to book the shuttle. However she managed to confirm our transfer within half an hour of my emailing her. Top marks Margarita, that put us in a good mood before we even traveled!

Met at the airport and brought to the beautiful resort after approx 25 mins or so. Entered a lovely huge lobby and was tended to and shown our idyllic room with a view by the lovely Aphrodite :-) All was well till the next morning when builders started to bang outside our room at around 7:20am as they worked on a side extension. We decided not to make a fuss but when it happened again the following day my partner requested a change of room. Must admit the room was otherwise perfect! Were moved to another room slightly further away and with slightly different decor. This was less noisy and had the bonus of having a WC which had a solid wooden door and not a mirrored door that you could see through from the oustide albeit slightly when you or your partner were in there (as was in the previous room)!!

The resort is excellent! Pooll excellent, breakfast fantastic with superb management staff there dealing with the odd waiter errors (full marks to Andreas and Pathos!). Beach is at the foot of the hotel entrance about 5mins walk down from the hotel. Beautiful beach with complimentary loungers and parasols (much appreciated by us)!

Town is quaint with few vegetarian places but recommend the mexican restaurant there - affordable, good food and very nice all round! There was a small greek cafe around the corner from the mexican which ripped us off over charging on local beers! Beware of some of the small cafes there.

On our last night we decided to stay in and around 20:30hrs ordered Pizza, salad and fries - in room service. We were informed that Pizza was only available on the pool menu which was not served after 20:00hrs. The vegetarian options available from the main restaurant were things like Rissoto, salad and one or 2 other equally un-appealing items! Not even cheese and tomato sandwiches! My partner was very upset with the poor choices available and asked to speak to the restaurant manager (Mr Harris). She inquired why something as simple as heating up a Pizza and fries was so difficult to offer their vegetarian guests, also bearing in mind it was only half an hour since the 'pool menu' was made unavailable. The manager, Mr Harris could not have been nicer and more accommodating and immediately undertook the request and made it available to us without fuss. That made our whole trip complete and put a smile back on our faces. My advice to the hotel is that please, offer simple vegetarian pizzas/fries, sandwiches etc to your guests as an option for in room service and restaurant as that would satisfy the majority of vegetarian guests (and not just on the limited time pool menu). Great thanks to Mr Harris who is a credit to the resort with excellent customer service!

Last day we had to check out at noon and our shuttle back was not till around 6pm. We requested but were not offered a slightly later checkout but under the circumstances that was fair enough as it was coming to busy season and guess they needed to prepare the rooms for new guests. Being in a similar hospitality business myself I could understand that.

Overall slight errors from waiters at breakfast but swiflty taken care of by the managers. Couldn't complain and rate the resort and management staff effort a full 5 stars!

Room Tip: Rooms with wooden slat ceilings better as they have proper doors to the bathroom and WC not semi see...

Terrible experience with Myconian Resorts!!!! Extremely over-priced for the quality of service provided. My dream vacation was immediately ruined the day of arrival, when it took over an hour to check-in and we were shuttled and "checked-in" to 3 different Myconian locations. The resort shuttle picked us up at the port and proceeded to the specific hotel I booked, (Imperial Myconian). My group and another couple were told to get out and then the driver said to get back on the bus to the other location (Myconian Villas?). We were dropped at the Villas and our passports were taken to check in, after 15 minutes of waiting, we were asked for our reservation confirmations, and then told we were at the wrong hotel. We were then shuttled to the Imperial (the one we reserved and the original one we were dropped at), and our passports were taken again, we were checked in and waiting. We were then told, we were at the wrong hotel for the 3rd time, and got on the shuttle again, enroute to the Royal; even though the Imperial is the one I booked. We were checked into the Royal (not the hotel I booked), and informed "all of the hotels are part of the same resort" one of our parties would get an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi due to the "inconvenience"... well, the rest of the vacation only got worse...the jacuzzi did not work (attempted to fix 2 times, and never fixed),we were shuffled around to another room with a "working jacuzzi" and the receptionist told us to go down and change the key cards, the new key cards did not work, and we went back to the desk again to change cards (asking for a manager), the tv did not work, and then we were told the original jacuzzi was fixed, we could move back (it wasn't fixed, at this point didn't care anymore as we were exhausted from shuffling rooms so many times).

The spa and gym in the Royal are not open (under renovation, like the rest of the resort), very, very steep hills to the beach, the spa and gym (which wasn't very relaxing due to the construction). I specifically booked the Imperial for the spa and gym and did not even get to stay in the Imperial. The restaurant did not have the menu of lobster, scallops, or shrimp in stock. The elevators did not always work, they were stuck on floors and would not move (the housekeeper said it happens all the time). One evening the power in the hotel went out, with a generator that worked only for the bare essentials. We also had a drone over our private deck and jacuzzi area from the guest next to us, when it was brought to the reception desk for attention, we were told there was no policy on drones in the hotel. We asked about the policy for guest privacy, and there was no response.

Do not waste your money on this resort!!! Elia beach below was just as nice and can be visited without staying in the hotel. The complimentary jacuzzi upgrade and dinner by the manager was not enough to counter-balance this aweful experience!!! Luxury prices, with motel services....do not recommend, spend your hard-earned money elsewhere!
