Loved this place!!! The history is great. It was very interesting. It is $11 to get in with discounts for seniors and children. They said it was about an hour to explore, but I was there almost two and could have stayed longer. There are some great interactive things for children that adults will love too! The flour tower ride was done excellent. The short movie was very interesting and flour dust explosion unique. You need to allow time to do these three activities because they are done at certain times throughout the day. It is a smaller museum so it is not tiresome to explore. There is a small restaurant in there with a small menu items around $10 I did not try it. There is no food close by. The river walk is a short walk from there also, but didn’t have time to explore it because I wasn’t aware that it was right there. All in all a wonderful way to spend a afternoon!! Loved it!!

The Flour Tower Tour is a must see especially for friends and family from out of town. The Elevator experience showing the history of the mill is done extremely well keeping you interested in an interactive way. Then you add the picturesque views of the city and the Stone Arch Bridge from the 9th floor to the images of the Mill City Ruins from the courtyard... absolutely stunning! Another added bonus is the Minneapolis in 19 minutes flat movie. I've been 3 times and it is still a go to for visitors. Definitely worth the trip for all ages!

We have been here as a family, we have been here with friends, and a few of us have gone on a school field trip here. There is a room that you get to play with water. There is the elevator ride - you sit down for this. At the top of the elevator you get off and get a great view of the Mississippi River. It is worth the price of admission and if you plan to do a lot of historical visits, spend the money on a family pass for a year - you'll get your money's worth!

Friends told me I had to visit this museum when in Minneapolis. I'm glad I listened. The old factory building has been really interestingly adapted to a museum that helps explain why Minneapolis is the city that it is. The exhibit is interesting and interactive. The grain elevator is repurposed for a moving exhibition, taking you up 8 floors with vignettes of flour industry history on each floor, finishing with the opportunity to view the Mississippi and surrounding area from the observation deck. It was really well done. Highly recommend.

An private evening reception at the Mill City Museum provided a beautiful venue to introduce women business owners from all over the country to Minneapolis. They had an interesting tour of the museum that my husband went to the next day. The view the city from the top tower is spectacular.
