“Good udon soup but high on salt”

This is a good Japanese restaurant at Minneapolis airport. I had nabeyaki udon. Soup was fresh and cooked very well. Food, setup and ambiance would deserve 5 points except that there was too much salt that left its taste for a long time.

Gleaming, upbeat Asian restaurant at the MPL airport. Table and countertop service both human and via iPad are available. Surf the web while you wait or better yet, chat with your partner. (Semi-) automation never tasted this good.

I'm very happy I did my research and found this gem.
Settle in, browse menu on your personal tablet, and then swipe your credit card and wait for your treat.
I liked the menu choices, the staff, the music and the atmosphere.
I even grabbed a sandwich and salad to go at their outside counter.

When looking up the dining options of the Minneapolis airport, Shoyu looked like a nice option. I believe it's located where the Wolfgang Puck restaurant used to be (which was also good). It's not your average airport restaurant. First, all ordering is done from table-mounted iPads, so if you're not technologically-abled you might need to ask for help. You pay with your credit card with the included credit card reader and then are able to surf the iPad for fun.

The restaurant makes its own ramen, which is unexpected for an airport restaurant. The ramen bowl I ordered was quite good but I wish I had removed the seaweed as it isn't my thing. And although it was a little expensive, it was a nice change of pace considering all the other played-out fast food options in the airport. I would have tried the sushi but I didn't want to risk my stomach before an 8 hour transatlantic flight. It just wasn't worth the risk. :-)
