Scenery is field, after field of unknown plants from Hollandale to Greenville. In the small towns remnants of former industry and closed businesses. The hub for shopping is Greenville with hotels, large stores and grocers. Amtrak is in Greenwood. A car is a must. Gas was 1.89 a gal much cheaper than our 2.59. A large state park is there for camping and other outdoor events. Not sure who enjoys the outdoors -- too many mosquitos day and night. The open space made our drive pleasant and peaceful
