I was in Biloxi for business over the New Year holiday weekend, and my wife and daughter came down for a visit. We were looking for fun things to do that were family oriented and open over the holiday weekend. This place is great! My daughter really enjoyed the vet play area and the grocery area. If you have elementary age kids and are in town and looking for something to do, this is a great place to go.

Our three and five year old have enjoyed the Discovery Center on both visits. The indoor exhibits are excellent. The outdoor area is big and spacious, but lacks the activities that comparable centers have.

We brought our grands with us to Biloxi for Spring Break, ages 3, 11, and 14! Granddad dropped us off here at LMDC as he went on to Islandview Casino which is nearby. And aren’t we glad he did! We had a blast! The fee to enter was only $38 for the 4 of us. There were so many activities that we spent over 5 hours there. We would’ve stayed longer but the grandkids got hungry and the only food was ice cream that had to be consumed outside and it was 54 degrees. I recommend that you do come for a visit and pack a picnic lunch or snacks. The outside backyard is amazing and picnics seemed to be allowed! My city grand boys enjoyed running around and climbing the many tree houses! The arts and crafts for that day was making bugs! So much fun. The employees are all wonderfully kind, patient and keep the place picked up and clean. There are so many activities for kids of all ages. So much learning! This place is a gem! There are planes, trains, submarines, science, shrimping, music, arts, TV studio for a talk show or for doing the weather, climbing, play stores, play kitchen, play patio grilling and much more! It’s a must do if you are in the area. Just remember to bring your own snacks and drinks to eat outside. But we wound up walking just to the end of the road to a waffle House! The area seemed extremely safe. The beach is nearby, too!

We took a field trip with a group of elementary students. They enjoyed the displays especially to pretend tv station. The staff was very nice. It’s rather small compared to Jackson Memphis etc. nothing a student over 3rd grade would really care about in my opinion.

Decided to go on a rainy day and was very impressed. Beats other children discovery centers, hands down.
