There was a very nice mix of rides, shows and attractions to entertain numerous age groups. In addition there are many craftspeople including glassblowers, candy makers etc. each demonstrating their talents. The terrain may be a little difficult for those who having limited mobility, but overall it provided a great day to explore with the family. The smaller children seemed to be having a blast at play areas and rides designed for them, and it appeared to be a safe wholesome environment. The only downfall of the day had nothing to do with the park but the weather since it was unseasonably cold to enjoy the water rides.

We did not go to SDC for the rides. We paid $130 for the two of us to walk around, shop, see shows and eat, thinking we could hang out there all day (from reading the reviews). That was a mistake. We were done in three hours. Should have gone on a Thursday for lower admission fee.

It still was different and interesting. We bought a few things. They offered to deliver the bag to the gate so we did not have to carry it. That was nice. But we were done so quickly that we ended up picking up the bag from the store on our way out. Everyone who worked there was nice and helpful. The train ride was the only ride we took. Could have done without the show in the middle of the ride!! It was not entertaining. The music show by a gentleman from Czechoslovakia who played international music was fun though. He had several shows during the day. We enjoyed his talent.

This is a fantastic park that is in the style of an 1800's mining camp, it is also has demonstrations of "old times" arts and crafts. There are many rides for the kids & adults and some great shows. The Festival of Wonder was going on when we visited and it was an excellent presentation of shows featuring entertaining and unusual shows, park is clean and staff are super friendly. There are many places to eat good food as well as many snack options. Well worth a day or more.

SDC is my favorite. First stop was a bowl of skillet chicken, veggies, and potatoes. Then off to the saloon show which was new and even funnier than older shows. The kids always have a blast and enjoyed the rides. Wish we had more than the afternoon, but we will be back!

We arrived about 8:30am (before the park opened) &ate breakfast at the Mill Restaurant. They have a breakfast buffet which was very good.
We didn’t go on any rides this time. We saw the Homestead Pickers, always a good show. Then to the saloon show, which was good & a good place to get a root beer float. We also saw Cirque Unique. A very enjoyable day. The grounds are well kept and the Silver Dollar City workers are friendly & helpful.
