Two adults and two children (ages 7 and 3) on this scenic ride from Branson to Arkansas that took about 2 hours round trip (including loading and unloading). Walking through the cars was the only activity to do to occupy the kids other than looking out the window. The front car (just past the snack car) had the recliners and best windows to view out of. The operators did not allow you to bring any water bottles or snacks on board so just leave them in your car or at the depot ticket counter. Must purchase their snacks if the kids get hungry/thirsty on the ride. Since eating was the only thing to do, it was kind of a "must purchase" situation for us. If you have kids VERY interested in trains then it's a neat experience/opportunity. If you have very actvie kids, I would recommend another Branson attraction. It's probably better for seniors. (Parking was free and across the street, a little challenging to get to if you're coming from the strip because you have to turn around and head back to access it.)

This was a great train ride through the Ozarks. Very friendly staff in the depot to on the train. They have several different cars attached to the locomotives and you get to choose which one you want to sit in. There are food and snacks available onboard in a dining car. One of the conductors gave a detailed narration of the trip which included information about each of the cars and locomotives. If you like trains I highly recommend this adventure.

There is nothing like a train ride through the mountains. It takes you back to a time when things moved at a slower pace. For two hours, there is only conversation and enjoying the scenery going by.

We are looking forward to coming back in the fall and seeing the mountains ablaze with colors.

It was nice to take a step back in time, see the views and the rain made for some great water falling from the rocks.

We took the train on a rainy day. It was a fun experience although we battled foggy windows at times. We were surprised that food is offered at all times (cash only). Passengers are allowed to walk around with open seating. Overall enjoyable experience.
