We arrived hungry; we were satisfied upon leaving. Eggs, hash browns, ham and bacon were our choices. They were good; the service, while not great, was adequate. The price is reasonable.

On our recent trip to Excelsior Springs we stopped at the Mills-In for lunch. If you are looking for fancy dining this isn't the place to be. However, if you are looking for good down home cooking and plenty of it, you are right on the money. The daily special was a tenderloin dinner which included a dinner salad, dinner role, a very large tenderloin, choice of potatoes and choice of vegetable. The tenderloin was juicy and the pickled beets were out of this world. Highly recommend the Mills-In.

This was an old gas station but is now a small two dining room cafe with nice staff and great charm! A few historical items to look at- this area had several healing springs and lots of interesting stories with covered wagons, gangsters, and more. We had a simple lunch of a good BLT and park tenderloin sandwich; both were good. Other customers' conversations were entertaining, and it was peaceful and enjoyable here. Hope to come back!

Not wanting the $30 Mother's Day brunch at The Elms where we were staying, we walked a couple blocks to this diner. We arrived around 8:30 am just as it was starting to fill up. Service was very slow for a diner, even tho the waitresses were rushing around. It's the kind of place where the hash browns come from frozen packages and there's creamer instead of real milk or cream. You can get eggs, French toast and pancakes. Nothing fancy. It's inexpensive.

We stayed at the elms and decided to come here for breakfast as our first experience at the elms restaurant was less than desirable. We were so glad we came! Now, this is not a fancy restaurant but it is good home cooking! You won't leave hungry and everything is tasty!
