We stayed here for a Saturday night before doing the Ballestas Islands boat tour.

The room was small. We were given only one towel for two persons.

The internet is terrible. It does not work in the rooms, only in the lobby and adjacent restaurant.

At 7 a.m. on the morning of our stay, the power went out, and there is no backup generator. We were told that power would probably not be back til 4 p.m. With no power, there was also no internet.

Be aware that the rooms with double beds have NO VIEW. If you want one of the ocean front rooms, you need to reserve a room with twin beds.

The breakfast was decent. We did have a nice late dinner and the cook was willing to accommodate special requests and cook to order.

Be aware that there is virtually no nightlife in this area, even on a Saturday night. The area was dead by 10 p.m. and it felt a little sketchy walking around on the boardwalk.

On the plus side, it's a great location if you are planning the Ballestas Islands boat tour, as the dock is just steps away from the hotel.

Hostel is located on the busy Malecon in El chaco.. Nevertheless it is okay. You have to take a room with sea view. It has a small balcony and a good bathroom. An extra surprise is the jacuzzi on the roof. Although the water is cold.
WiFi is not so good.

The lodge looks like one of this commercial of expectations vs reality. It looks clean, modern and fancy and it is just all the opposite. It is not clean and it looks as if it is falling into pieces. Strange for such a new building, but all looks so faded and old ... and dirty. Breakfast was nice and the view o the harbour very pretty. But nothing else. As for the jacuzzi ... you'd better not go into such a murky water.

We ordered a taxi with them from the bus stop to the hotel, then we realized it was only around 3 mins of drive (they could have told us so we could have spared that money).
The rooms are ok, a little bit on the small sides, and like in most hotel in Peru, they have a problem with the power sockets (!) a simple power strip would be nice. Breakfast was good, the staff was nice. The wifi signal was really weak in the rooms.

We were done with cheap cold hostels so decided to book two nights in a slightly more expensive hotel, expecting two good nights sleep. Ask for a room with a balcony looking over the sea, the views are totally worth the price. Other than the view, there’s nothing special about this place. Staff wasn’t really friendly, didn’t talk much. Just did their jobs and no inch extra, which is ok I guess, but would be nicer if they made a little more effort. If you decide to eat or have a drink on their terrace, expect to wait and wait, and then go in to order your own drink due to the lack of service. Nobody speaks a word of English, which is fine, but bring your google translate if you don’t understand Spanish.
Rooms were ok, the bed was good. Shower was cold on the first day, but they fixed it on the second day. All in all, I think you can get better value for your money in terms of hotel and staff, but the views are the best of all of paracas hotels.
