We went to this place for may mothers birthday as it was her choice. I had been there previously when I had been given a voucher for my 50th birthday from my family and I should have insisted we go elsewhere based on that experience. I understand it is difficult to get staff in regional areas of Australia but within such a short distance from Sydney and high levels of unemployment on the central coast the service at this place was hopeless. The staff that were there were really friendly and did try but you can not be charging these types of prices with such hopeless service. We arrived to find an ants nest in our room which we managed to kill and then had to call them twice to remove the dead ants as their was nothing in the accommodation we could do this with. At breakfast we had to wait 15 minutes to be served and our cooked breakfasts were cold when they arrived with our coffee just forgotten about. For dinner we had to wait 2 hours for our main meal. When they asked us if we would like our room serviced we suggested that all we needed was for the rubbish from the very small sized bin to be removed so we would not attract any more ants. We had already made our beds and thought this would not be too difficult a request but the one thing that was not done on our return was the removal of rubbish! These are all very first world problems but when you are paying through the nose it is just not acceptable. The only good thing about this location was the Bouddi National Park and the fantastic walks around the park. I would advise you to stay in an Airbnb or Stayz and go to one of the local restaurants in the area for a much better experience at half the price. We didn't mind paying more for a special occasion but this experience was consistent with my previous experience two years ago. Please take our advice and give this place a miss!

This beautiful Boutique Hotel is the perfect place for couples to escape for a wonderful weekend or short break away......sorry no children allowed to stay here.
The accommodation is beautiful, whether you stay in a single or two storey bungalow you will be amazed at the attention to detail here.
The staff are friendly, accommodating and nothing is a bother to them.It is not hard to see why the Italian restaurant on the premises is so well renown for its excellent food and wines. The variety on the menu is sure to please and much of the produce is grown right on sight.
Why not pamper yourself with a massage or Spa , these facilities are also on the property so no need to travel any distance , however, you should ahead for this.
So if it's a relaxing holiday you are looking for, this is the place for you. Pack a book, sit on the verandah or on the couch( in front of the fireplace in some bungalows) and enjoy. If the weather is warm, then you may want to enjoy the pool that is also available.

I recently stayed at Bells and it was exquisite, the villas are beautiful and the staff were very friendly, kind and genuine. My sister got married at Bells and all went smooth! The original venue for the wedding was out on the lawn but as the rain begun to pour the team at Bells helped move the ceremony to an undercover courtyard which turned out to be just as lovely as the prior plan. The reception was lovely and the menu was catered by Manfredi (the attatched restaurant) which was very tasty indeed! The day before the wedding we decided to have mani/pedi's at the spa. The ladies in the spa were again lovely people. There was also a complementary glass of prosecco for each member of the bridal party which was a lovely touch!

Thankyou Bells at Killcare for a beautiful, luxurious weekend!

This is our second stay at the property, last visiting in December 2013. We don't know of another short-break property of this standard, within easy reach of Sydney. The private garden setting sets it apart from other hotel-like experiences and the individual cottages are delightful. We appreciated being acknowledged as repeat guests by the friendly and professional staff and the Sommelier even remembered our preferences with wines.

The highlight for us was dinner in the Bells Restaurant. Whilst the food is classic Italian in style, we were impressed with the extra flair and creativity the Chef's displayed. Standout dishes were the home-made Duck Liver Pate with Brioche as a bar snack, Tagliatelle Pasta entrée with Duck, Rabbit, Quail and Pork and the Bangalow Pork Loin with pickled fennel, cauliflower puree and squid ink sauce.

The Sommelier recommended a rare Sicilian red wine that complimented the meal perfectly.

Thank you for a wonderful stay Bells!

Room tip: make sure you book dinner when you reserve your accommodation. Also the coastal walk in the National Park is outstanding

Bells is in a lovely setting on the central coast. Pretty views and beautiful gardens. The villas are well appointed and nicely furnished. They are fairly quiet but you can hear neighbours if you are adjoining another villa. If you are a vegetarian, don't expect much from the restaurant - I had the same grain salad served up three days in a row for lunch! Plenty of choice though for the meat-eaters.
