Four of us stayed here the Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend to attend a beer festival. First, it was an expensive night, nearly $180, premium pricing for a venue of this nature on a weekend. We'd confirmed we could check in early and when we arrived, the slowly moving desk clerk took much longer than normal to check us in and assign us our room. When we got to it, the door was open and it was immediately apparent that it had not been serviced. Best of all, there was someone using the bathroom. We went back down to the desk and waited through two more groups checking in to be advised by a second clerk who seemed to have much more on the ball that there were no rooms available at that time. We left our bags with them and went about our day, returning later to find all in order. Except, this is a run-down property, tired carpets, loose toilet seats, and a host of other imperfections. We'll not return nor likely use this chain again.

After spending the whole day in Kansas City, I checked in around 4pm and noticed the sound of slamming door(s). I took a nap, and woke up to a door slamming. Visited the plaza for food, then went to a casino and returned back at 9pm. Decided to take a walk to the museum area for shake spare in the park and then went to the plaza. I returned at around 11pm. Now with the addition of the slamming door, there were people arguing. I was exhausted, so I ended passing out around 2am but was woken up through out the night from doors slamming. At around 4am, the argument turned into yelling. I would never stay at this location again, because the desk did nothing while this disturbance happened.

The location is walking distance to the Plaza and the Museums and the walk was comfortable at around 11pm. However the hotel gets an F due to the disturbance all night long with no effort to correct the situation.

We came here on recommendation and expected a decent hotel. When we got there, we were supposed to have a king, but we got a queen, so we had to go down and change rooms. When we got to our second room, there were ants everywhere, so we went down again to change rooms, this time the attendent gave us two rooms to choose from, both were filled with cigarette smoke and smelled like rotten eggs. So we had to check out and change hotels. We overheard the attendent say that they were short of housekeeping staff and that 75% of the hotel was not clean, so we had to check out and find a new hotel late at night. We have been to KC several times, and this the worst experience we have ver had.

After 4 rooms at this place, we ultimately had to cancel our stay and find another hotel. For a family of three, the first room with only a queen bed, would not suffice. The second room was filled with ants. The last two rooms smelled horrible. After an all day drive to get to Kansas City, the last thing we expected or wanted was to check out and find another hotel.

The first two was fine the last one was a nightmare. There was a very loud party going on. They not only screamed, knocked on people's door, used vulgar language and did I mention it was very loud till 4:30 AM. I was a single woman staying alone and was very frightened. I called the front desk several times throughout the night but no one answered. The next morning when I got ready to check out (as well as several other people) no one was at the front desk from 7:00 am - 8:30 am. I will never stay there again.

I also tried to call customer service and was on hold 45 min. 2 different times. I emailed them the next day and it's been 10 days and I have not heard a word from them.
