My 7- and 4-year-olds had a great time. Even the dramatic play areas incorporated basic math (bank, market) and health concepts (baby hospital, vet). There were some exhibits that were truly STEAM, like the Musical Slope that plays a famous composition when you drop balls down it. There is a lot to do here! Without coupons, it is pricey for a family, but there are ways to get discounts.

While "The Magic House" was crowded, we would not have missed this fun-filled 'house' which we thoroughly enjoyed. For the kids, this was pure fun. To watch their faces with each discovery in each room was pure 'parent-fun'. Will certainly return to this house, again, when in St. Louis with the family.

Having to pay two adult admissions to bring one child always makes an outing to The Magic House feel expensive to me. Sure there are discounts out there but it still makes for an expensive afternoon, especially considering the number of free attractions the St. Louis area has to offer.

But once the price is paid, we have always enjoyed our time here. There is so much to do and my daughter loves every minute of it! It's often crowded but going to another area usually helps. It's clear a lot of care and attention is given to the layout and setup of the exhibits. Most of them are great, we especially enjoy checking out new traveling exhibits, but sometimes we have encountered things not working properly. It's a bummer but with so many children (and their grown-ups!) going through here I guess it's bound to happen.

Staff always seems friendly, alert, and helpful. Many areas are gated off with a staff member attending, so children cannot wander off to another area on their own. It's really a nice touch because in a place like this even the most attentive parent can easily lose sight of little ones.

The grounds are nice and they have an area for picnicking. My biggest piece of advice would be to bring aspirin! It can be very loud and chaotic in some of the areas but the kids will love it.

Being spring break it was VERY busy. There were also school groups there. We still had fun. My kids enjoyed every minute of their time there. We have SO much left to explore next time we visit St.Louis! My kids loved exploring and being immersed in kid sized real world living areas. My big kiddos favorite part was coloring / designing types of transportation and then they make it 3D and it gets scanned onto a screen! My little one who is 2.5 loved everything she did. It was a great experience despite the craziness of spring break. It just left more for us to do next time!!

This was our second trip to "The Magic House" and it didn't disappoint. We actually chose it over the more famous "City Museum" in St. Louis but primarily because this place caters to young children (which we have). Lots of hands on activities and imagination play for our 3 and 5 year old. They loved it. We spent 3 hours here and that seemed like an adequate amount of time.
