This is a seat yourself place which is the first problem. Once you seat yourself no one comes by for at least 20 minutes. Then once we ordered we waited 58 minutes exactly for our food to arrive and the place was not that busy. Wait staff was not very friendly either. The only good thing I can say is the person with the water pitcher did come by frequently.
Three of us had burgers which were very small and very average at best. One of us had the fish and chips which was good. Blueberry Hill is a great place to see and a cool atmosphere but misses the mark on service...oh and food.

My wife and I had not eaten here for awhile, as we have been trying some new places. We decided to revisit this long-standing restaurant in the Loop last night. It still stands out! I ordered the "small" burger, 5 ounces. It was great, just like I remembered it! Juicy and yummy, with lettuce, tomato and onion on top, as well as soft cheddar cheese. The décor is of course retro, with likely a fortune of old baseball records, record covers, 1950's-1980's toys/dolls/action figures, etc. A fun place!

We were torn about going in here at first. Through our travels, we had been to places that featured a retro/old-school vibe - some were cool and some couldn't quite pull it off. When we finally decided to give this place a shot, we were glad that we did.

The place is like a museum. I don't think there's a single person on the planet that the owner DOESN'T know. He had his picture taken with practically every famous individual and group over the past 50 years - politicians, musicians, actors, writers, etc. It's pretty impressive and overwhelming all at the same time.

There are collections from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and a little bit from the 80's - all real, all amazing. If retro stuff is your bag, you HAVE to take this place in.

The food: It was good. Actually, thinking back on it, it was really good - a nice, fresh fruit plate and a veggie sandwich that was as far from dry and boring as you could get. Believe it or not, some restaurants find "vegetarian food" a challenge, but not here. I would absolutely order from here again, without a doubt.

Overall, a really good, fun experience. High recommend.
