Where else can you have your main dish, sides passed around in addition and rolls thrown at you? The food is average for what it is, but it's good nonetheless. I had the shrimp and it is very good. The honey on the rolls is very good. A tourist place to be sure, but you can't beat country cooking on the road and this place does it right.

Ok we only go here every couple of years but it's always been a special thing since we live 2 hours away. Things were a little disappointing. The place wasn't as clean as I thought it should be and is starting to look run down. The girl at the hostess stand where you put your name on the list initially was less than thrilled to be there. No smile, nothing. Two people in our group ordered the ribeye steak and it was tough and definitely not worthy of the 22 dollar price tag. We will gladly pay that much at a Texas Roadhouse where the ribeye is top notch. No one ever offered us any sorghum or Apple butter even though they walked nearby several times. We were not offered black eyed peas until the end of our meal and we were done & ready to pay by then. The good things I can say are that our waitress was very good and friendly and she plus other staff did keep our drinks full. The fried potatoes pass around were delicious. Just wasn't overall what we had remembered.

Thank you Joanne for a wonderful lunch. Had your serve last year and it’s good to see you again. Bring your appetite to this little slice of heaven. Southern home cooking at its finest. And the best people working that you will ever find.

This place is total chaos, with the atmosphere of a wild, drunken bar without the alcohol. Seating is hard plank-style benches and tables, and the decor looks like the inside of a dirty garage. The rolls are fabulous - some of the best I’ve even eaten! But you loose your appetite for everything once you are inside. I expected s food fight to break out any minute among the diners. If you just want good rolls there are lots of other great places to get them. CASH ONLY! They don’t take debit or credit cards.

So much fun!! We have been twice. The food is worth the trip Great staff, atmosphere is a bit like a carnival; fun, laughter, music you can chair-dance to. Great time!!
