I saw Chef James Martin on a local TV program stirring up some mushroom soup. With a special day coming up, I made reservations.

Gilardi's...what wonderfully intimate restaurant. Small, beautifully decorated and a friendly staff.

Aaron was our server and was knowledgeable on the wine list and the menu. We started with the Brie al Forno...outstanding!

Requesting the mushroom soup to be available, it did not disappoint and was fantastic.

Two in our group had the tuna, one the ciopino and I had the veal scallopini. All complimented their serving. The tiramishu for dessert was the best I have ever had.

Thank you Aaron and Chef James for a memorable dining experience.

This is the second time I have taken my mother to Gilardi’s for her birthday, this year her 75th. Overall, as last year, very good. Mom’s tri-tip was a bit dry but all of the other dishes were excellent. The tiramisu was outstanding. We will eat here again, and again. Our server, Chet, was great the atmosphere was excellent not very crowded but it was a Tuesday evening.

we like different/unique, and this was different/unique, but we came away disappointed in enough aspects of the experience to not return again, most unfortunately. very high prices, yet salad not included. bread was tough and difficult to eat. veal was promised to be tender enough to cut with a fork but turned out chewy with knife-cuts required for the portions that were edible.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It is located back behind an old historic house on Walnut St. Walking up to it you can smell the Italian spices cooking in the kitchen. The food is really authentic! Our party of four had the Caprese Salad with fresh mozzarella! Delicious! I had the Summer Garden Pasta with Chicken. The goat cheese on it was wonderful, the chicken was nice and tender. Fresh bread is served with the entrees. For dessert we enjoyed Panna Cotta. It was so smooth and creamy! This is a great place for a nice Italian Meal!
