Could you find a charming bed & breakfast in Stevensville, Montana in the old hospital with rooms named after doctors and nurses? We had a huge room filled with antiques and a beautiful garden with windows to open to smell the woodsy fresh air. The living room is filled with original, unique art and artifacts... most are for sale. All is with walking distance to small restaurants, bistros and a very good brewery with many fine choices. Right smack in the Bitterroots and easy driving to the lakes, hiking, fishing or just picnicking... owners are the best. Now, the only drawback is the breakfast which is do it yourself cereals, toast and there is fruit along with teas and coffees. I think the place begs for a hearty breakfast??? There is also NO tv which is a blessing and there is free wi fi...

Room Tip: the downstairs rooms if you don't care for a flight of stairs

Private hospital at the beginning of the 20th century, this is now charmingly restored as a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Recovery Room, which included a modern bathroom and two bedrooms. Other rooms: the Surgery Room, Dr. Quinn's Room and other names reflecting its colorful past on 1st and 2nd floors. All the rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques, overhead fans and other period touches.

The owner's artistic background is evident in the colorful, cosy interior, and a large veranda offers a relaxing view of the garden on warm days. The owners' friendly hospitality is a crowning touch.

Continental breakfast is simple, but plentiful, with spacious seating. All is on the ground floor.

Stay here for a small town, relaxing get away and enjoy the local, historic St. Mary's mission and quaint downtown district.

This beautiful old building has been lovingly restored and is a joy to experience. Being an old hotel it is not a "motel" atmosphere: you are a participant in the life of the building, you hear other people walk and cough and talk as you look out your window into the tree canopy, or sit on the porch.
The owners are well travelled and extremely interesting people. That is all I'll say about them, you get to discover more on your own!
Excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance, great antique shops, as well as a truly great hardware store.

Room Tip: Just embrace the excellence! Appreciate the sounds of life and participate!

This hotel is in a historic hospital building, but you'd never know it from looking at it. The outside is graced by a lovely porch on both sides facing the street (it's on a corner lot), where there are gorgeous hanging baskets of flowers (in season). The inside has been lovingly appointed with beautiful antiques, art (some of it by the owner) and modern bathroom fixtures. You will feel completely pampered! It's a beautiful, beautiful place, and I highly recommend it, if you want something out of the ordinary.

Owned by the Hotel but a separate property... just down the street. Looks like an old apt. complex converted to motel. No sign in front, no indication it is a motel. Check in at the hotel, and the owner takes you down here. Stayed on the ground floor. Concrete floor with no rugs or carpeting of any kind means you need slippers all the time. TV is right out of the 70's and is about 16". This is bearbones accomodations, but to be fair, is only $65 a night. Second floor has nicer rooms, and their own HVAC units.

Room Tip: Get on the second floor
