This wasn't the VIP tour that we were lead to believe. After a 6 hour journey ( traffic can't be helped I know ) we arrived at Santa Monica pier which was beautiful. An hour later back in the "non luxury" hot bus and off for lunch.
We had pre ordered and the web site said VIP area ... NO!! We were waiting on the pavement in the hot sun for 20 mins while they made room for us and certainly not a VIP area.
A look around Rodeo drive then back to the bus which was once again parked in a back alley as if it shouldn't be there. Off to Hollywood boulevard then a drive around the "stars" homes which were just a series of gates !!. Finally to the famous Hollywood sign. Jose the driver, pulled over at the side of the road and told us to walk up to the viewing area up the hill, the view was awful and you could hardly see the sign but the view of LA was great. We were at the back of the bus and couldn't hear a word Jose said as the DVDs was too loud, he really needs a microphone. Nice man, very keen to please but a very long tiring day

Julia, there's no record with your name that was in attendance of the tour. Are you sure you have the right company? Our New Model Minibuses are fully equipped with Ice Cold Air Conditioning, Individual Reclining Seats, Large DVD Movie Screens with Surround Sound and of course a fully functional microphone. Sometimes passengers will mention they are too cold, while others may not, but regardless, we always encourage our guests to alert the tour guide if they are uncomfortable, since our Minibuses have separate climate controls throughout the cabin. VIP tours are done in luxury SUVs, so if you were on a Minibus, then you likely did not book a VIP tour. With the Minibus tour, we offer 2 views of the Hollywood Sign (Mulholland Drive Overlook and the Highland Center). If you wish to have a close-up view of the Hollywood Sign (right underneath) then you would have to book the VIP SUV tour, since it's the only vehicle that is allowed to go to Lake Hollywood Park. However, just an advisory, the view of Los Angeles from Lake Hollywood Park is not nearly as good as the Minibus view from the Mulholland Drive Overlook, as it is a much higher elevation.

I was almost tempted to rate 4 stars, but there was nothing majorly wrong that made me want to change it. We were picked up promptly at 6:30 AM at our hotel on The Strip in Vegas and were on our way. We were in a 20 passenger bus that was full, so get to know your neighbors. Also, a word of advice is to NOT sit in the back of the bus as it get's VERY hot there later on in the day and does not cool down very well. The trip is pretty long, took us almost 5 hours to get to the Santa Monica Pier (1st stop) after making one bathroom stop on the way, but they had to use a different route due to the I-15 fire that was ongoing in the Cajon Junction area of CA. Liz was our driver and was very nice, talked a LOT about when she lived in Wisconsin and how it compares to being in the Western US, not a downfall for me though. Watched a movie on the way out there and back too. First stop was Santa Monica Pier, they allot 1 hour to explore, but was very hard to explore, shop, navigate the crowds, checkout the beach, etc in only one hour of time, an extra 30 mins would be helpful. We arrived at The Cheesecake Factory 10 mins early, but our food and tables were still not ready for another 20 mins, which really put the tour behind schedule. I would suggest looking into other alternative restaurants as the service and food quality there was not great at all. After lunch, walked around Rodeo Drive a bit (though it's not as appealing as the movie 'Pretty Woman' makes it seem!). Continued driving around Beverly Hills (with a stop at the famed sign and fountain), seen many celebrity homes and cool sites. We were the first tour to make a drive by the Greystone Mansion, what a cool place that was! We did a quick photo stop as you could see all over LA, wish we would've spent at least 30 minutes there exploring the grounds, but definitely a MUST for the owners of QTLV to consider adding on! Another stop was at the Hollywood Walk of Fame which was extremely touristy, I would suggest stopping there earlier in the day when there aren't as many people walking around the streets though. The only major downfall that I was disappointed with was the view of the Hollywood Sign, which was only visible in the distance at the Hollywood & Highland Center. I guess they do not allow commercial vehicles closer any longer, but was a bummer to not be closer. I could go on about many more sights, but it was a long day and did not get back to our hotel in the Center LV Strip until around 12:00 AM (midnight), so do not plan on staying out late in LV or plan anything early morning the next day.Overall, a great trip and would recommend to anyone looking to get that experience. I do hope to return to Vegas again soon and try the VIP SUV tour this time.

Thanks to Jose for really trying to make thus the best possible experience! It was a very long trip and it took hours to get there but they had air con and films the whole way! Coming home was really quick in comparison with going but you can't help the traffic! It was worth a visit and the money. You get to see LA in just one day. On time as well! Thanks Jose you really did a good job

Decent tour but it is a really long ride. Bus driver drives 50 on the interstate (used an app to measure mph) in a 20 passenger bus. It is really hot in the back of the bus and they play movies that are extremely loud all the way. We left at 6:00am and returned at 11:30pm. We did the Las Vegas to Hollywood tour. It takes 4.5 to 5 hours one way. They stop once each way. Cheesecake Factory is fine....limited menu and crowded. You will only get one drink because they won't give you a refill. They just hurry to get you out of there. If u want cheesecake you have to get it to go and eat on the bus.

Booked the Vegas to Hollywood tour at the last visit, and I'm glad we were able to get in. It was great! We were picked up about 6:45 am and got back to Vegas about 9:15. It was a busy day. They were filming an episode of Rizzoli and Isles when we got to the Santa Momica pier. We had lunch at Cheesecake Factory then took a stroll down Rodeo Drive. We drove by the homes of several stars, drove by Fox and Warner brothers studios, and took a drive up Mulholland Drive. We got to spend some time touring Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame. Had a great time, thanks to Mike, our tour guide!
