Room was comfy & clean with a great (if distant) view of the LV skyline. Check-in and check-out were easy. My wife appreciated the free shuttle to the Strip, but found the pool cold in early May. Wifi was fine, if expensive (but waived for the convention). Elevators were fast (important on the 18th floor). Navigating the hotel & conference center was a bit confusing. Casino was large and included a fast food court. Value rated high becuase of special convention price, never would have stayed here at rack rate.

This was the most beautiful hotel-casino we were in and we went into almost all of them! The slots were loose as well!! We won money here and will definitely come back to stay here. The entire place was immaculately clean and fresh and did not smell of smoke> The crowd here was older and calmer, so if your looking for action, you need to go stay on the strip, but if you are looking for a nice romantic enjoying time then this is the place for you. We recently saw a Groupon which I am kicking myself for not purchasing, what a deal if you get a Groupon deal!!! Not on the strip, but not too far if you have a rental car.

Room Tip: Use Groupon!!!!

The Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is by far the "crowned jewel" in the Station Casino chain, and is a top notch resort at which to to stay, relax and romance. This place really has something for everyone, whether night-clubbing, great beers at the Yard House, gaming, movies, sushi, bowling, poker, whatever.

Service isn't sophisticated but more than adequate. Rooms are very nicely appointed, very conmfortable beds, great views, plus the pool area is expansive and relaxing (though ridiculous prices on cocktails).

Many "on-strip" places aren't this nice and good deals on room rates can be found via online specials, Hotwire, etc. If you're in need of a room away from the strip look into the Red Rock - defininately a cut above the rest.

Room Tip: City view (east) is nice but will have the sun rising in your window. Red Rock & pool view (west) is also really nice but you may get some noise from the night club on Fri & Sat nights.

My husband wasn't too excited about this hotel because he thought it was too far from the Las Vegas Strip, but I planned a trip here anyways. He ended up really liking the hotel, and we had a great trip. The hotel is modern, and classy. The only issue I had with the pool area (which was really nice btw) was that the pool was not heated. It was 108 degrees this weekend, so it all worked out, but I'm a bit nervous about planning another trip here in case the weather is not so warm.
