Description: "World-class executive chef Michael LaPlaca gives an unforgettable modern twist to classic Italian foods. From the hand-made pasta to the finest imported ingredients to the dozens of fine wines, you'll get a true taste of Italy right on the Strip. Reflecting the quaint, beautiful and wealthy Italian village it's named after, Portofino is tucked away from all the casino noise, offering large leather booths, beautiful marble, vintage wood fixtures and Tuscan-style chandeliers. The white linen cloths and rustic Italian decor brings you close to the old world while dim lighting and classical music create an intimate, romantic atmosphere. From the Burrata Agnolotti handmade with simple ingredients and prepared to order to the Crab Cake Arancini fusing the traditional Arancini rice ball and Maryland-style crab cake, it's no wonder Portofino has been highly-praised by Las Vegas Weekly, Las Vegas Magazine, Trip Advisor and Open Table."

Had a very nice dinner here and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The restaurant is located in the Mirage and is an upscale, quiet (except for a somewhat annoying squeaky door somewhere in the back), has comfortable seating, good food, and an extensive wine list. The burrata agnolotti was recommended to us by the waiter and was a great choice. It was delicious! The dessert (Nutella creme brûlée) was good (but not great) and our overall experience was good. It is one of the nicer places we've been to in Vegas and I'd definitely recommend it.

Went there after reading Trip Advisor reviews. Romantic bench seating. Had lobsters ravioli. Perfect flavors. Not too heavy. A lot of lobster pieces. Also had Mediterranean Sea bass cooked to perfection. Sam was a great server. Will go back next time in Vegas

Took my wife here for a dinner and show combination with Cirque's Love. Also, thought it would be nice to try considering they were participating with Restaurant Week and providing special menus to help a good cause.

Made reservations, online through the Mirage website, but don't think they were needed as the restaurant didn't seem busy. Service was very good with any questions answered. Raphael went above and beyond, especially refilling my water which I can quickly go through.

Wife had the Burrata Agnolotti and I had the Lamb Gnocchi. Both were very good. A little out of our comfort zone to spend around $30 for a plate of pasta, however the experience was very nice and, after all, it's for a special occasion.

The only disappointment is even though it was the last day of the special Restaurant Week menu and all other Mirage restaurants were still displaying theirs, Portofino decided to end the participation early. This was the reason of visiting in the first place.

Had dinner before the Terry Fator show and was not disappointed. The waiter recommnened the octupus and it was delicious. The cesaer salad did not disappoint and the raviolois were beautifully presented and delightful. A great place for dinner.

The food as well as the service is great. The waiter, Jason, was most attentive. I would return to this restaurant any time I am in Las Vegas.
