“Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2012

The Polo Towers Suites and Villas are a Diamond Resorts timeshare. The location is on the strip directly behind the Hawaiian Marketplace. It has a South Las Vegas Blvd. address and there is a sign on the street. You have to turn onto a very small access street that can be easy to miss. It is much easier to access from Harmon Ave. You turn into an access street from Harmon directly in front of the Marriott Grand Chateau. You will see the Polo Towers directly in front of you. You can drive around to the front for registration and free valet parking. Checking in was very easy and quick. We requested a room on a higher floor that faced the strip and were given a room on the 17th floor that had a great view of the strip. We had a 1 bedroom suite that was very nice. The kitchen was small although fully equipped. The living room had a comfortable couch and there was a large screen tv. The bedroom had a small balcony that looked over the strip. The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom had a tub/shower combo and lots of storage. The Polo Towers provided minimal housekeeping every day and a full cleaning if you stay more than 4 days. We had clean towels every day. There is no casino here which was made it nice to come back to some peace and quiet after all the action of Las Vegas. Other reviews have talked about the walk to the entrance from the strip as being sketchy. I never felt like this and had no problems walking around. There is not restaurant in the hotel but there are plenty of others in the area. There is a upscale shopping arcade across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the strip and a higher floor will give you a better view. Others may only...

Upon arrival, we were greeted very nicely by the hotel host. Within minutes of checking in, we were in our rooms relaxing. The room was very clean, typical timeshare. No thrills, but just plain adequate for our needs. The hotel itself was next to Planet Hollywood on one side, MGM on the other and across the street from Aria and Cosmopolitan. Across the street, there are lots of fine shops such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc. If you win big, there are a lot of good places to shop. Overall, the Polo Towers is nice decent place to stay. Enjoy and good luck with the winnings!

Room Tip: Don't stay to high up... lots of noise in the morning.

This was our second visit to the Polo Towers, both for business, and I was pleased to see they have made some nice updates. Clearly the carpeting had been replaced in the hallway (floor 17), and the small kitchen appliances were all new Cuisinart stainless steel models. There was also an excercise room that was lacking before, but is there now.

Location is excellent, and parking was pretty easy. Pulling in from the Strip can be confusing, so watch closely. The Polo Towers are behind the Hawaiian Marketplace and the turn off is just on the other side of the small tourist attraction booth. You can also go down Harmon, turn onto Planet Hollywood Way, and come in the back way.

The concierge desk is very friendly and want you to go on a tour (some of you it is required to get the deal they offered on the room). Even if you don't take their time share presentation, the desk is helpful and willing to get you the information you need.

The room seemed very clean and everything in working order. The iPod/iPhone dock in the bedroom is a nice touch. The beds at every Diamond Resort property we have stayed at have been SO comfortable, and the Polo Towers are no exception. There are flat screen TV's in the bedroom and living room as well as a DVD player in the living room. The living room furniture is not the highest end, but no where near the cheapest quality either. Don't miss the rooftop pool - it was clean and has quite a view!

I do have a couple of suggestions for Diamond. One, find a way to eliminate some of the outside noise. Those are some thin windows! The garbage trucks are VERY audible at 6:00 in the morning - fortunately being there for business, we had planned on being up shortly thereafter anyways. Two, most people have come to expect some sort of internet service provided when they travel. If they do have to pay for it, the service is usually very good. The internet at the Polo Towers is neither free or good. Luckily I remembered that from the previous visit and had brought a Verizon Aircard for use at our business venue and the Polo Towers, and that worked perfectly there.

Other than those to issues, our stay at the Polo Towers was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. We will certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the strip or the MGM side to avoid the early morning garbage truck racket!

Tried this place out since friend was staying here as well. I came on business so lets start with the pro's from a non-partyer perspective:

Basically on the strip without a rowdy casino.
Quiet.
Close to a lot of hotspots on strip, shopping etc.
Can be good value for space depending on your rate.
Staff are helpful

Cons:
Dated decor and washrooms... think student dorm style.
Don't pay for the IBAN Wifi internet unless absolutely necessary. It's slow, drops and disconnects. It's like 8 bucks a day...

I will probably not choose this place again... too many compromises... Unless everything else is booked up while they provide a very affordable rate....

I think it's worth $60/night at best, but would personally pay double for a nicer joint like MGM signature condo suites....

Room was freshly painted and appliances all looked new, very clean, bed comfortable, nice soaking tub, new carpeting, triple sheets which I really like, Was located across from Aria, next to MGM. Checked in a little before 4pm, asked if we could have upper floor attendant said come back after 4 and a upper floor room will be ready, came back at 5:30pm was given a room on lower floor told them I was told there would be upper floor room available, they had the manager come out and ask me who told me I could have a upper room what was her name there not suppose to promise anything, Jeez I don't mind paying extra if you'd ask me, but don't give me the third degree at the counter and then expect that Id want to do a timeshare here! and not to mention pool was being worked so it was not open.
