Well what can I say unfortunately as poo and disgusting as this place is the hookers must be the ones keepibg the doors open. Only pro: if your looking to gambling money down tge drain, eat food that is nastier than cafeteria food, on location hookers, with the only hotel and xasino in tge area with 24/7 in house drug dealers than look no further stay at the sands. Front desk staff as well as housekeeping are extremely rude. Rooms are uncomfortably stuffy and hot. *Attention: start doing yourself and the rest of the travelers around tge world a huge favor. when u get iin your room for first time anywhere u go check along baseboards, check under sheets as well as under mattresses and behind all beds and furniture.
these places are charging a fortune and i swear some homeless shelters are cleaner.

Very disappointing especially for the price. Rooms were not clean, there was a wet spot on the carpet, A/C poor, couldn’t get the room cool enough. Furniture was beat up, and front desk staff was curt and rude. Would NOT recommend.

My second stay at the Sands, and it will continue to be my "go to" in Reno; you can not beat the location. Efforts are being made to upgrade this older property but this doesn't happen over night. In the mean time, the rooms are clean and the service is good. When the Asst GM and F&B Manager take time out of their day to chat, you know Customer Service is high on the list of priorities. Looking forward to my next trip to Reno as I watch this Reno gem continue to grow.

I have never stayed overnight because I am local. I go every Wednesday night for country line dancing. Although my wife is the one who dances, I sit at the 3rd street bar next to dance floor and drink, play video blackjack and order from the restaurant next door. The bartender Casey is awesome and waits on people hand and foot. Great experiences at the Sands, and if they allow smoking, you'd never know. I come home smelling smoke free.

Walls are too thin we could hear neighbors from both sides all through the hours of the night and day. Decor needs much modernization. Bathroom was small. Not sure what happened (not that I want to know) or what it was, but it looked like blood stain on my daughter's pillow case on the 1st day there.... There was a group of band kids running up and down the hallway, playing ding dong ditch, playing their instruments. Not cool.
