Wife and I enjoyed our stay at Toes in the Water@ Villas of Hatteras Village. This particular Condo suited our needs extremely well. This was our fall fishing trip and close access to the beach and to the ferry made this unit a perfect fit. Clean, well kept, convenient ground floor and affordable price. We would recommend this unit to anyone seeking the same amenities.

We just got back from our OBX vacation. Leslie's condo at the Villas was much more than expected, the website does not come close to showing how nice it is. The condo is first floor so its easy to get your bags in. The pool just seconds away. Just past the pool and onto a boardwalk is the Hatteras Landing with shops and placed to get a snack and ice cream. This is all surrounded by a marina. There was live music at the marina on Thursday night and Saturday afternoon (free). There is a small grocery store maybe a mile away. There is a boardwalk across a salt marsh that leads to a gazebo and then over to Hatteras Landing (it also connects to several sound side homes). The views and sunsets were breath taking. The beach access is directly across the road and between two ocean front homes. It was about a 3 minute walk to a beach that was not crowded. Route 12 ends just past the villas so crossing the street was not an issue. The ferry to Ocracole is just next door and you can see how long the line is before you go. We went to Ocracoke on Monday with no wait at all. Tuesday - Thursday the line was past the resort. We also went to the museum just past the ferry. It should be mentioned that admission to the museum is free and the ferry is free. We did a family horseback ride on the beach and they meeting point is across the road from the museum. This was very convenient. There is also parasailing about a mile north. Everything you need is basically right around you, but it is not overdone or "touristy". The only cons our entire week is that we are Yankees city slickers who are used to being able to get a pizza at 11 at night if we are hungry. Hatteras village rolls up the side walks early, The nearest pizza joint closed at 9:30 as did most of the stores and restaurants. Once we got on the Hatteras schedule, we were fine. We can't wait to come back, already planning for 2016.
