This place is a bit hard to find as it is downstairs, but well worth searching out. This was my first experience with Nepalese food and it was delightful. The service was accommodating and all of our questions were answered. We had the paneer and spinach momos, the chicken chhoila, and the Tofu Tarkari, which is a curry. It was all well presented and delicious. The chhoila was accompanied by puffed rice, which provided an interesting textural contrast. The interior is well laid out and beautifully decorated. Looking forward to returning!

Base Camp is located at the University of Dartmouth area in Hanover, MA. It serves relatively good Nepalese food. Taste is fine, so seeminly also the items used in cooking. You can get the best out of the food when you have a larger group of people to share the meal, so you can order various appetizers and main courses. The milieu is not particularly attractive but does work. Wines are fine.

Warm, cozy, excellent service, wonderful food, center of town--what more can one ask. My wife and I love coming here and do so as much as we can.

This is in a basement of a mini-mall, but the atmosphere is nice. Food was good, just not spectacular. I've only had nepalese food once before, so not sure how to compare, though.

If you like new foods and flavors when you eat out, you are in for a treat at Base Camp Cafe!. It's really a restaurant with lovely wall hangings and other unique decor. Goat and Wild Boar are on the menu along with more standard chicken, beef and seafood entrees. When you order your meal let your server know 1-10, how spicy you want your meal to be. We thought 5 was medium but it turned out to be very spicy for our Goat soup so we toned our entrees to a 3 & 4 level. I had Basil Thyme grilled chicken w/ vegetables and my husband had the Wild Boar in a sauce. Both were delicious! We would definitely choose to eat here again.
