If you are looking to set up camp and never leave the campground, this might not be the place for you. We heard road noise all day and most of the night. Bathrooms are more like a state park. Some activities available, not a good place for biking around. The sites however are well spaced and wooded. During the week most campers are gone.Nice small lake for boating and swimming. The location is great for day tripping around the lakes region or even up to the mountains.

We stayed 3 nights, it was well kept with a nice beach.
The only bad thing was we had full hook-up and the cable tv did not work.
The last night someone came to our site and gave us a new box and fixed it.
We used the pool at there other camp ground across the street and it wasn't
very clean.

The campground is nice, but too many permanent sites for my liking. The bathrooms need some serious updating. The hot and cold water faucets on the sinks are separate and are spring loaded, so there is no way to get Luke warm water. The shower stalls are made of plywood and do not look clean.
I understand when others talk about sites, they just tell you which site you will have, like it or not. The site we were on had issues with the electric, it kept tripping the breaker. The guys told me it was our camper.... no it was not our camper. We have never tripped breakers and we have been camping for years.
We would likely consider this place again, it would be better if they updated it and operated it more like most other campgrounds.

We camped here a few weekends ago. My husband and a friend had camped here a lot as kids. Unfortunately it wasn't anything like they remembered!! The campground lost power after a storm on Saturday, no big deal, but no one came to keep us updated at all on how long till we would get it back, etc. But the worst part was the bathrooms. They were nasty! The toilets kept over flowing (I'm talking 4 different occasions!) and the bathrooms themselves were so dirty. The showers look like they have never been cleaned. I get that it's camping but when the 9 year old has to be convinced to get into the shower because its so dirty.... When we brought all this to the attention of the staff their response was "Oh that's too bad". Helpful

I find the campground nice. Most people are easy to work with except for when you are on the beach. I find that Dee in the store enjoys intimidating the children and adults with the way she talks to them. They may also want to consider having quiet hour be 11 pm and 10 pm. Customer service training may be appropriate for beach staff.
